二、“賽迪環宇通”翻譯系統集成了漢英比較語言學的國際最新研究成果

用意譯代替字面翻譯，可以避免譯文的誤解，提高譯文的可讀性。僅以漢英翻譯為例，說明“賽迪環宇通”翻譯系統的特色。比如 “二手汽車”可以譯為“second hand car” 在這裡，second hand表示舊的、經濟和使用價值已經降低了的含義 ,但是“二手研究資料”在中文表達中並不是指“舊的、經濟和使用價值已經降低了的”涵義，因此決不能直譯為“second hand research data”。同樣，我們所指的包括軟硬體系統在內的“電子資訊產品”不能直譯為 ‘electronic information products’ 。這是因為以英語為母語的國家，‘electronic information products’是指“可用線上方式提供的，沒有製造、加工和運輸成本的產品，例如， 電子圖書、諮詢報告等等”。

“賽迪環宇通”翻譯系統集成了漢英比較語言學應用的國際合作研究的最新成果，用意譯代替字面翻譯，從而大大提高了譯文的準確度。例如，在“賽迪環宇通”漢英翻譯系統中，上述的兩個例子“二手研究資料”、“電子資訊產品”分別可以正確地譯成“indirect research data”和“electronics and IT products”。
