This federal grant has nothing to do with community relations and everything to do with the militarization of our police force and injecting our police force into the schools. "If a situation presented itself as violation of the law, I was utilized." Really, a fully trained, experienced street officer is needed in a school setting? If there was a violation of the law there are some many middle management people making over $130,000 a year who would be fully capable at that salary level to call the police when necessary.

Google "school student arrested" and you will come up with many sickening instances of students getting arrested, sometime violently and even jailed for things that are no more than simple disciplinary problems- as a direct result of this federal grant. One for starters:
