Hi there,

I work in the media in New Zealand. I am emailing you to tell you about a new media analysis weblog that I have created. I thought you might be interested in checking out a fresh voice in this area.

Outside academia, media analysis and criticism in New Zealand are paltry. Although this new website will certainly not solve that problem, it adds one more voice to the discussion - I hope you'll agree that's a good thing.

You will probably disagree with much of my views (I am a social and economic liberal), and object to my use of a pseudonym. On this latter point, I agree entirely - but unfortunately my 9-5 role prevents me from using my own name.

I hope that you may one day find the time to provide feedback on my column.
