Subject: Good Morning Everybody!! Just in case there's anybody else out there like me who's crazy about cinematographers, I *finally* found out who the DP on TFSOTW is!!! (more)

I don't know whether this information is as exciting to anyone else, but I *finally* found out who the cinematographer is on FSOTW!!! I have searched the internet to death for weeks and couldn't find out. Called 20th Century Fox the other day and all they could give me was the phone number in Mexico(!!) of Fox Baja studios (like I was going to get any information out of *them*!) So a friend told me to call the Director's Guild here in LA. The Director's Guild was very nice, but didn't know, so they gave me the number for the Cinematographer's Guild. After explaining to 3 people what I wanted (protesting all the while that I am not press, just an interested fan who thinks that the cinematographer on a film is pretty important info!) one of their business reps finally knew!!!! According to the business rep, the cinematographer is -- RUSSELL BOYD!!!

I certainly hope he's right because this is *very* good news!! Russell Boyd is a *great* cinematographer. He shot almost all of Peter Weir's early movies -- the great ones! -- Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Last Wave, Gallipoli, The Year of Living Dangerously. He also shot -- are you ready for this? -- Russell's very first film, Prisoners of the Sun (Blood Oath).

I am *very* excited, LOL!!

Hope everybody has a great weekend! I'm off to see Bruce tonight, so it's shaping up as a pretty good weekend for me!
