If your last name at one time was Shapiro, then the only thing I recall being gross was the way you, Lois Zeller, Michelle Manderville, Kerry Davidoff treated those kids who were not as pretty, popular or as thin as all of you were.

Went to see Dylan at Bethel Woods last night, drove Rt. 52 from New Paltz through Ellenville, right near Mi-Han-Sa.
Yeah, I remember Hannah, Sol Turk, Norm...just saw Bobby Rothchild, Alec Isaacson, Eddie Ingerman...wondered what the place looks like now...and if I could find it! I have VHS copies of film my father took at the camp...

I remember the camp very well. I was there for two summers with Mike LoVeles, Jeffrey "Bro" Ascensio, and Craig Weinzoff.

Wonder what happened to everyone.

I was there for several summers. I had my first exposure to the Sergeant Pepper's album in the summer of 1967. Everyone had a nickname. I remember Atlas and Beatle. Mike, Hannah, Sam and Wayne were all there. Tribal Games, we were the Minstrals vs. the Trail Blazers one year. Get up in the middle of the night to chop a log in half. Music over the PA in the morning. Love to have a reunion.

I remember all that -- and I remember YOU. And I see you remember me. I was known as "Atlas". That was a sarcastic nickname, as I was one of the skinniest kids on the planet. I spent 11 summers at that camp, from '63 to '73. I was a 'Trail Blazer', Still remember the covered wagon. Was a Jr. Boy, Sr. Boy, waiter, Junior Counselor, and Sr. Counselor. Finally had to get a real job when I graduated college!

Never go to school reunions - but a summer camp reunion would be a riot.

Anyone else find this site??

I found this site quite by accident! Wow MARK! It has been YEARS! How are your sisters?

For anyone else who dares to read this, I was a counselor at Mi Han Sa from 70-73. My Husband,Bruce, was a counselor as well. (although we were not married back then...)I am so glad to make contact with some of my friends from camp. I stil am in contact with Jeff Wine. And I can get in touch with some of the guys from Flushing.

I'd love a reunion-talking about it on Facebook! Check it out there as well.

Fond memories of camp. Tribal Games competition. Main house raids with Frank Doberman and being caught by Sol Turk. Camper, waiter and junior counselor. Movies in reck hall on rainy days. Steel the Flag on baseball field. First night pizza parties at Meelies down the road. Still part of the "Brooklyn Boys". Larry K., Alec I, Bobby R. Patriarch of our group, Irving Rothchild just celebrated 99. Still driving and playing golf. Would love to see some old alumni.

Funny, I am headed to Albany to see my daughter get sworn in to NY Bar, and I thought of my days at the camp. I was there for at least 2 summers in early 70's. what I can recall is waking to Tommy Album, breaking my finger playing softball, having my bed put outside while I was sleeping, and some washed out road we hiked on. Good memories.
