hi yes it can be done but you need to do a few things, you have to take the mk2 seat post off then remove the bracket, the cut the top of the mk3 post drill a hole and nut and bolt to fix to mk2 seat, you will have to remove the bracket from the seat base and reweld it in a drifferent place, then recover the seat, i used a mk1 sissy bar but you need to shim the hole i used some metal sleves from builders raw bolts they fitted perfect, with a mix up of mk3 and mk1 springs on sissy bar, i also fitted a mk2 gear shifter to my mk3.
