My cobraII.

My coupe. Modified V8, new 16/8 rims W/ 265/50 tires (not in pic.) dual flowmasters, MSD Edelbrock RPM intake & manifold, & hot cam. Endcap missing on the spoiler at the time. To know more, just ask me. 76k mi.

John aka "blue oval dude" 91 mustang lift back. It is tubbed and lowered 7 in. Building a 408 svo blocked alcohol inj. FORD small block for it. The car has been 6.20 with the 383 in. motor.

Rich's '78 CobraII. Orignal owner. 25,000 Mi. 'Hasn't seen rain'.

I have a 65 L6 200. it sputters only when i make a left hand turn, the faster i go, the more it sputters. I had the carb rebuilt and she runs GREAT sept for the sputtering. any ideas????

I'm having a very hard time finding a replacement rear bumper for my 78 Mustang II. I have found fiberglass bumpers, but want more original material. Tracking on computer, but so far no luck. Any ideas?

My ii is on hold because the T5 from the 88 turbo coupe is a full 4" ahead of the stock hole. I've seen many T5 V8 conversions, but no 4cyl yet. I want to keep the same location and use the console. Any possibilities.
I've been looking at a merkur T9, a shifter extender (wtihout luck, even though 89-92 Tbirds need an extender to use the T5 conversion) or the possibility of the tail shaft, shifter mechanism from an new V6 T5.

I am getting ready to buy a 1994 ford mustang gt convertible and the owner just recently replaced the fluid for the convertible top with hydrolic fluid unstead of the standard ATF fluid. The top still goes up and down but it is slower than usual. Does anyone know if this fluid mistake will cause damage to the car or the top and if so how much damage? Also is there anyway to fix the damage by just flushing the fluid and replacing it with the correct fluid, or is the damage from the wrong fluid already done. Please help.

I have been offered a tractor trailer load of Mustang II parts. A friend of mine many many years ago stripped 7 Cobra ll's and put all of the parts into a large trailer for storage. There are 7 motors, transmissions, steering setups, hoods, sets of doors, etc. As far as I know, every car was complete, and all parts were removed and stored. He has owned several King Cobras, and still has 3 of them in another trailer, nose to nose, just sitting. I haven't decided whether to purchase the lot of parts, since I don't follow the Mustang ll market closely enough to know what items sell and what doesn't. I sell a lot of Ford parts on eBay under the ID Rcode72HO, so I am familiar with the cars and parts, but not the demand. I stripped some louvers, spoilers, and a scoop from a Cobra ll a while back, and got decent money for those items, but I don't know whether I want to have 7 sets of fenders, seats, etc. sitting around taking up space. Here's what I offer - email me directly with a list of items that you are or might be interested in. I will compile a list on my computer, and if it appears to be a worthwhile venture, I will purchase the collection and contact everyone who sent me a list FIRST, before putting anything on eBay. i have an 91 LX 5.0 aod i dun seveal upgrades i added an performer 5.0 intake 70mm accufad throttle body 73 mm C&L mass air Mac cold air 24lb injectors accel plug wires high flow water pump and radiator crane blaster coil and rev limitor kirban fuel regulator and a 255lp fuel pump new exhust sys H pipe with flowmaster sys..new sensors new rear stock replacment springs 4 new G-force 225/55/16s new rotors and brakes ( body..i replaced in repaired rear Qur panals new hatch with a GT spoiler new front light assm rear lenses ...i cant even spin tires with out a little power braking ..i bought the car with a rebuilt tranny from a transmission shop i heard good and bad things about there work.. it was the owners daughters stang she cryed wen he sold it to me but she kept gettn tickets and couldnt aford to insure it or the gas .. he told me that he added an 2200 high stall toq and 355 gears and a shift kit.. i that that was nothing more then a sales pitch.. although it does shift good i think the rears are stock327s acording to the specks on the door i want to repalce them with 355s and upgrade the converter i need to no what i actually have since my engine upgrades i have a knock at first start im lookn to buy a rebuilt performance short block in sping i put the mustang in a barn for the winter

My 1998 mustang has an intermittant turn signal. I can hear the flasher working about twice the normal speed, but the light does not flash. It was very infrequent at first but is happening more often than not as of late. I had the odometer changed by the dealership a few months ago and this be when the problem started. Any Ideas?

I have a 99 mustang and everytime I hit the gas it makes this horrible knocking noise. Our local for dealer told me it was carbon build up, and that they want $300 to fix it. Is there anything else I can do?? I have tried the carb cleaners you add to your gas, but they aren't working as well anymore.

Hi all. Just bought a '99 Mustang from an individual. The converters had been removed and have been replaced with an X pipe and Flowmasters. The computer is picking up on the fact that the converters have been removed and the "Service Engine Soon" light is coming on. The local Ford dealer confirmed that the code it is giving is for the converters. (either bad or in this case, missing). Any ideas if it is possible to bypass the sensor from the exhaust to avoid the light coming on? Or is there any way around looking at this light short of putting black electrical tape over the instrument panel where the light is. Yep, someone actually suggested that one to me. Tacky!! i am fixing a 78 cobraII. spent considerable time on the body all new black paint every piece detailed, yet I had no idea it would be sohard to find parts for it. when I got it I didn't know much about mustangs. Anyway I found a 302 and c4 tranny out of a 73 torino Will i run into any problems if I buy it and swp it in for my four cylinder. I knopw i have to swap the rear end yada yada. If I had knownthis would have been such an odd project i never would have got it, yet, now I spent 2000 on just the body and copuld never get my investment back.

I have a 4speed console think it is from a deluxe interior 67 it has indicator "idiot lights" lights around the storage area under the radio look like they are there from the factory. I have never seen these lights on another one does anyone know if it came like this. Thanks

I'm need of help, I have a 76' mustang II 2.8L v6 with a manual tranny. I've had problems with the clutch ever since i bought the car. it's way too hard, i've had to change the clutch press about three times already, i've had to repair the tranny two times, i've changed the cable clutch three times, but still the pressure is so much that it has broken the pins the hols the clutch cable in place more than 20 times, it broke the clutch adjustment sleeve (and i could not find it anywere, i had to make the piece with a pipe), i just spent two days checking the clutch disc and press, it was an ordeal to take out the tranny, it was a temporary solution, about five hours after putting it together while driving...the clutch pedal BROKE!!!, is there anyway to solve this or am I doomed to put in an automatic transmission?, and if that is the case, can I only use the C4 automatic ('cause of the reduced space)....PLEASE I NEED HELP!!!

I recently purchased a 1987 GT convertible 5.0 5 speed.
The car is speed density controlled and I am thinking about converting to mass air. I will be installing long tube headers, underdrive pulleys, 3.55 gears and a 155 LPH fuel pump. Will performance be enhanced with converting to mass air or do I need to throw in a bigger cam too? Will a cam be enough or is more required?

I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY AUTOMATIC TRANSMITION. IT STARTED SHIFTING A LITTLE HARD, LATER THAT DAY WHEN I CAME TO A STOP LIGHT IT DOWN SHIFTED ABNORMALY. WHEN I TOOK OF FROM THE STOP LIGHT IT WOULD HARDLY MOVE AND IT SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING WAS RESTRICTING THE TRANY FROM MOVING LIKE THE BAND WAS STUCK. 20 FEET DOWN THE ROAD I WAS MOVING FINE AGAIN UNTILL I GOT ON THE FREEWAY AND IT SHIFTED INTO 3RD. I WOULD NOT PICK UP SPEED IN 3RD OR RETAIN THE SPEED I WAS AT. IT WAS JUST SPINNING INTURNALLY. SO I NOW HAVE NO 3RD GEAR AND MAYBE NO OVERDRIVE I CANT TELL IF IT HAS TRIED TO SHIFT INTO O.D. MY BUDY TOLD ME HE THINK THAT IT IS A ELECTRICAL PROBLEM BUT I THINK THAT IT IS MECANICAL. IF ANY ONE CAN OFFER ANY HELP PLEASE DO SO. THANK YOU !

Hi, I am new. I am looking at my first car, a 1978 Mustang, it is priced at 200 Canadian dollars, unfortunately it is lacking a transmission. I was planning on fixing it up, and then selling it. I was wondering what one would get for it now if it was just running: the interior is very bad, and it looks like someone has repaired the paint with a spray can, it does leak oil, and needs new valve covers. It has about 125,000 kms if you ask the owner. And then if I fixed it up, is it worth it to do the repairs? Thank you for your help.

Does anyone know if 275/60R-15's will fit in the rear of a 1986 GT. I'm not worried about rim size, just if they will rub or not. The car has been lowered 1 1/2". A couple of guys have told me they wouldn't rub, just wanted to get another opinion..tks

Hi,
I have a 1999 mustang convertible with a 3.8 engine. I was in an auto accident last month and I had my car repaired. A week after getting my car back, the "service engine soon" light came on as soon as my car hit 37,000 miles. I took it back to the mechanic who put it on 2 diagnostic machines and they could not find anything wrong with it so they replaced my gas filter and my gas cap and cleared it so the service engine soon light would go off. It came back on 2 days later. Has anyone had a problem similar to this?
I would appreciate any responses.

I have a 96 GT and my speedometer has gone out. I know which piece I need, but can't find it anywhere and am not even sure what the name of it is. The piece is what the needle sits on. I don't want to call it a "motor", but it's the main piece which mopves the speedometer pin. I heard that 96 was the first and maybe only year that ford tried out a digital feed, instead of a cable feed speedometer. I have found the entire dashboard for sale, but don't want to pay the $150 for the entire thing. Any help to this problem would be EXTREMELY appreciated. Thank you.
