Plans are underway for Miss Willacoochee Old Fashion Day Pageant schedule for Saturday, April 8th, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Willacoochee Elementary School Gym. All participants are encouraged to attend practice, Thursday, April 6th, 2006 @ 6:00 pm at the Willacoochee Elementary School Gym. Deadline for entries is April 6th, 2006. Pageant is for ages 0-19 years old. There will be Beauty, Photogenic, Prettiest Dress, Prettiest Smile, Prettiest Hair, and Peoples Choice in each age division. There will be a Queen and 2 runners up in each age division. You may enter everything except Peoples Choice for $85.00. The Beauty Queen will receive a Crown, Trophy, Monogrammed Sashes & a gift bag. Photogenic will receive a trophy, Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile & Prettiest Dress will receive a Medallion, and Peoples Choice winner will receive a Trophy, Crown & sash. I'm afraid it is time for Kalyn's dress to go, it is getting too tight, it is a 2 piece Feisty in electric blue and white that was stripped and redone by me, it also has a long white skirt if interested. Please put Kiara Hauber in your prayers.She is a past Queen of ours and competes in other pageants. She is only two years old and had an accident at her house and was burned by hot grease. She was transferred to the burn center in Augusta. I don't know how serious it is but usually when you go there it is pretty bad. I will try to keep an update as I receive more information. She is a precious little girl that loves to do pageants. Please just say a prayer for her that her burns are not that bad and she will be back competing before long.

Thank you to everyone who helped-My Mom, Courtney, Melinda, Connie, Ashley, Annie, Shaun-my wonderful husband (Ladies, he’s starting classes soon-sign your husband’s up now..lol) and thank you to Kelley’s photography. Not only did they take awesome photos, they helped me set up a bit. I can’t wait for all of you to see the beautiful photos. If you didn’t purchase any, you may want to contact them as they still have proofs available for order. Also thanks to Leigh Murphy for helping me out with some last minute minor decorating things. Thanks to the judges and the auditors. Thanks to Pam Forehand and to all the 2005 Dogwood Queens. Dallas, Alira Gail, Lawson, Marlie, Taylor, Colby, Kayla, Gina & Lauren. You all did a fantastic job helping out at the pageant, emceeing, crowning, everything! This year’s court can take notes from you girls. I love you all from the bottom of my heart. Taylor, you were awesome with your guitar! Last but not least, I want to thank all the moms who remembered what being in this pageant was all about. It was about spending time with your gorgeous daughter’s and allowing them to do something that hopefully they love more than you do. I’ve had wonderful comments about how the moms were so nice to one another and how the children played together and I appreciate that. We all think our daughter is the most beautiful of all and we all think she should win every time but with this many qualified girls, there was bound to be some who normally win who didn’t this time as strictly a number thing but I can assure you, I got nothing but awesome comments from the judges about all of you. They said this was one of the hardest pageants they’ve had to judge. Sorry this post got so long but so many girls take up a lot of space. God bless you all. See you next year!

We had a great trip to the Capitol. Thank you so much to the girls who were able to go. You represented your title so well.
Miss Georgia Sweet Potato Queen- Kari Pujadus- you are always so beautiful and always gracious wherever we go.
Petite Miss Georgia Sweet Potato- Makayla Lindsey- girl you were so fired up about meeting the governor and you got to and also had your picture made with him. You were so much fun to be with.
Little Miss Sweet Potato-- Taylor DuPriest- you were so pretty and you got a special treat-a dance with the governor. Hannah, you were also so pretty in your Forestry crown and banner. Congrats on your win.
Georgia Sweet Potato Hospitality Queen- Sydnee Tyson- you know how I feel about you. You always make me proud.
The Sweet Potato Queens and the State Forestry Queens were both recognized by the governor for being special guests there. It was good to see Diane and Connie again.
The Georgia Cotton Queens were also there and were beautiful as well. Tayor is also Little Miss Georgia Cotton.
It was a great experince for the Queens who got to go and I can't wait to see the pictures.

Miss Irwin County pageant will be held August the 26th. I have been getting alot of request for applications. If you would like to be apart of our pageants and get on our mailing list just email me and I will send one as soon as they are ready. We only take fifteen to twenty girls in each age division. This is a prelim to the Georgia Sweet Potato pageant. All winners have their entrance fee paid by the Irwin County Pageant Committee. The Georgia Sweet Potato pageant will be held on October the 21st. We will be celebrating our 46th year as a pageant. We invite you to come and be apart of a great pageant system.

The Georgia Sweet Potato Queens have been invited to Agriculture Day at the Capital.We will be going on the 21st of this month.They have been asked to be on stage with the governor when he makes his opening speech. Afterwards they will get to have pictures made with him. This will be quite an honor for the girls. Say a prayer for us as we travel to Atlanta.

It's not too late to enter the Dogwood Pageant. The deadline for early entry discounts has passed but if you'd still like to enter you may send in your application and your $50 beauty deposit and you can enter optionals at a later date. The deadline is set for March 4th but if your pay period won't allow you to make that deadline, email me and I'll be glad to work with you. Nearly every division is at least 1/2 full. The remaining spots will fill up fast so don't miss your chance to compete for great prizes, great scholarships and lots of fun! It's not too late to enter or even to enter at a discounted rate. Enter by February 25th and Optionals are $5 off! Final Deadline is March 4th. There's also still an opportunity to compete for the Hospitality title. Dallas Wilson was our hospitality queen last year. She won the same prizes the queens won and she was able to participate in all the events with the division queens. I've been buying gifts left and right and I have a lot of fun things planned this year for the new queens so be sure to email me right away if you've been waiting to enter. What a great turnout we had. A big thank you to all who came. We played bingo, gave away door prizes and had facial's done. The moms had a great time doing this and wow they really looked good when they were finished. ALL the girls exchanged valentine's and we had plenty of food to eat. Thanks for all the help with the refreshments. We will get together again later on in the year, so maybe the one's who couldn't make it can come to the next event. THANK YOU GIRLS. You were all beautiful.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone for the well wishes and a special thank you to Jessica, Ski, Aliceson, Katlyn, Karen and Mandee for the beautiful flowers. I had a great time yesterday, I may have overdid it a little, it was good to see a different 4 walls that are not mine!! There are several people in our pageant family that we need to keep in our prayers. First Lizzy Morgan she feel off a bed being the little gymnist that she is and broke her arm. Second Belinda Spires she was getting out her car and fell in a pot hole broke her left ankle and sprained the other. She cannot walk at all and is in a wheelchair. Jessi Young's family her grandfather passed away. We also need to continue to pray for all the others that are already on our prayer list. Prayer is a powerful thing and the more prayers that these people get the faster they will heel. I hope an d pray that all of these people in our pageant family get well soon and that there hearts will heel fast. Love Mrs Jessica

I would like to say thank you to all the parents and contestants that entered the pageant. It was a huge success and I had a wonderful time. All of the girls were beautiful and they all did a great job. Unfortunatly there can only be one Queen but they are all winners in Gods eyes and that is what is really important. I would also like to say THANK YOU to all of my outgoing Queens for there help in crowning I had a good time back there in the back watching the little ones slide all over that stage and play with each other. They all wanted to give out the gift bags not the crowns. Joanie and Devin the two of you did a great job emceeing you are both beautiful inside and out. Joanie and Jessi the both of you did a WONDERFUL job singing you both have beautiful voices. I am really going to miss having all of you guys as my Queens but I am looking forward to getting to know the new ones. Again I want to say thanks to everyone. To all my friends that helped before, during and after you are the best friends I could ever hope for. I love you all.

Sorry to have to do this, but the location has changed for the 2006 Miss Lucky Clover Pageant. It will be held in Douglas at South Georgia College in Collins Hall (Laird Auditorium). The date and time remain the same. Feb. 25, 2006 at 2:00. There will NOT be a rehearsal.

Thanks for the calls and post. I am getting around a little better each day. I will be working from my home so please call with any questions about the pageant. I just wanted to let anyone who is doing the pageant to know that if you are collecting money for people's choice, that all money that we collect will be donated to the red cross for the hurricane victims. I have already spoken to the red cross in Tifton and they want us to bring it to their next meeting and present it and they will have the paper their to take pictures of our new miss sweet potato queen and the contestant who collects the most money. I justed wanted to let everyone know that wants to compete in sweet potato that I am going to be out of work for awhile. I am going to have surgery on the 26th of this month and will probably not return to work until after the sweet potato pageant. I WANTED TO GIVE EVERYONE AN UPDATE ON CRYSTAL CROWN IF YOU ORDER CROWNS FROM THEM. I TALKED TO THEM TODAY AND EVERTHING IS FINE. THEY HAVE BEEN WITHOUT POWER BUT WILL BE OPENED BACK UP FOR BUSINESS THIS COMING MONDAY. THEY ASKED ME TO PLEASE POST THIS FOR THEM. THIS IS WHERE WE GET OUR GEORGIA SWEET POTATO CROWNS AND SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS CROWNS AND WE WERE WORRIED THAT THEY HAD BEEN HIT BY THE HURRICANE. THEY SAID THEY WERE FINE OTHER THAN SOME TREES DOWN AND POWER OUTAGE. A THANK YOU TO GOD IT WAS NOT ANYTHING MORE THAN THAT FOR THEM. The Miss Irwin County pageant will be held August the 20th in Fitzgerald. This pageant is open to girls 1-16years in Georgia and 17-23years is closed to Irwin county girls. The winners will have their entrance fee paid to The Georgia Sweet Potato pageant which will be held on October 22nd. The Miss division in Sweet Potato is open to any girl age 17-23 years in Georgia. We will be giving our winner in this division $1000.00 in cash and a $500.00 gift certificate to Michelle's in Adel at the end of her reighn.
