I think people are moving to 101.5 because of the news department. When the Columbia exploded, NJ 101.5 broke it right away, with plenty of coverage. I turned on WOND, and heard Ed Hitzel taking about shrimp....

When their was 16" of snow outside, WOND was off the air. New Jersey 101.5 had Alan Kasper live in the studio the enitre day.

See what I am saying? WOND's programming is half assed, while NJ 101.5, the largest FM Talk station in the world is much more professional, with a better signal.

I don't think you can compare the two at all. OND is just a small market radio. If I wanted news of the Columbia tragedy I sure wouldn't bother with OND anyhow. The snow thing? well, shit happens, especially in a small market, two bit A.M radio station

And of course OND is half-assed, so is the surf compared to the philles or yankees, but I still enjoy the surf. It has its appeal to the local listeners. It is what it is.

I guess I'm just pragmatic about it
