WOND got rid of Dick Taylor because:

(1) Howard Green passed away, and
(2) The board that took over for him believed in cutting costs.

There had been 2 GM's at the Green Group for over six years; when the new board decided to cut one they had to choose between a manager who had been there about two years, or one who had been there 20. Both of whom had great track records.

It was a mistake, if you ask me. Both Dick Irland and Dick Taylor should have been kept on.
