Yes. I've made no secret of it and have mentioned it on this site before, and frequently when I talk to Seth or Jeff. But, if your question is legitimate, what am I supposed to infer from the fact that you didn't ask if I was a doctor?
But #1 on my "lottery list" is to retire him, when age-wise he is decades from retirement. And you want to know what I'm thankful for? The fact that none of my kids are going into medicine. In fact, the last of my infrequent social outings was a retirement dinner for a local physician, and at the dinner table I was talking to several other doctors' families who all said the same thing - none of their children are the least interested in going into medicine. Quite a shift from decades ago, when most doctor's sons, and many of their daughters, went to medical school. In fact the US medical school entrant in general is no longer the "first tier" - they go into technology or engineering now.

And I'm getting the idea that besides all of the sacrifices it takes for a parent to get a student through Med school, after all of that, they may have to help out with the malpractice insurance?

Speaking of doctors, here's something that listeners of talk radio, especially WOND, might be interested in...click here
