I agree that the board is being used for evil at times, and some things said on it has not only disappointed swimmers like myself, but also discourage. Yet on the other hand, there have been people who share encouragement and promotion of swimmers competing overseas in international or collegiate settings. The board shouldn't be disabled because a select few people decide not to conduct themselves as educated adults, and post terrible things (usually making no sense or holds no proof) on the board anonymously. I believe in freedom of speech, but if someone had something to say to me, I would MUCH rather prefer them to call me (502 298 2936) or email me vereance@hotmail.com and we can discuss it like human beings and come to a understanding on both sides instead of this secret hateful postings online. (which aren't secret at all due to the fact the message board automatically records your IP address and posts it along with your hate rant. Allowing you to be easily searched to the location and time you posted. So yes I know who every discouraging and encouraging posts have been.)
