Risk the future?....THEY ARE THE FUTURE.....all of the children swimming today are the future...as members of the BSF or not....they are the future.......world class? why can't they be golden boys or girls right here at home?......The Golden girls represent a whole lot more than the medals they won....they represent ability, positive attitude, personal committment and motivation and a whole lot more....why is it that if you don't make a final....or win the gold....you are tossed aside so easily?......many of our greatest swimmers are those who never make it atop a podium......Why should 6 and unders be competing????? Anyone who knows anything about gross and fine motor development of humans know that success in the pool at this age means nothing....as a matter of fact many world class elite swimmers were the late bloomers.....there are females in their thirties still winning gold today........so why can't the swimmers today be supported by their country into the ranks of the international scene .....give them a chance.......how dare you write off 14, 15, 16 and 17 years olds as "has beens"......get a grip........
Hope you are not a coach.......and if you are a parent of a young athlete.......go do your homework!
