|Subject: Respectfully disagree - dancers often warm up in hard shoes and unfortunately do so often within earshot of a stage in competition - sometimes also right beside musician. Has to be aggravating to a musician trying to listen to, or follow a metronome. It would be easier for a musician to hold back each time and wait for dancers on the floor to have the silence and attention they deserve, but in that case the feis would still be running right now. Either way, nobody would be happy.|
My ten cents:-p

In reply to: My two cents 's message, "The yelling of "NO tap-tapping" every few minutes in the Auxiliary Gym was a bit excessive. I was in that gym for hours. No dancers were "tap tapping" in their heavy shoes. Dancers walked cross the floor to check in for comps in their heavies. That's it. If the acoustics in that gym are so terrible for the judges and musicians it should not be used. The nonstop scolding of dancers and parents was off putting" on 11:02:11 04/04/17 Tue
