Subject: The difference is they had a board who actually want to make it happen. As opposed to our region.

] Date Posted: 13:05:56 10/12/20 Mon In reply to: DMM 's message, "Every other region (except MidAtlantic) has successfully had indoor/outdoor SAFE Feising. Their O's will happen as scheduled. The only other one who MIGHT cancel is Mid Atlantic. Sad we are the only region who can't get this going again..." on 11:30:16 10/12/20 Mon [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
[> [> [> [> [> Subject: This is a really unfair and untrue comment. Please read the information from the region about what the board has gone through to try to have our Oireachtas.

Date Posted: 13:33:47 10/12/20 Mon Insurance, really? Please. Completely a ruse. NH is one of the safest states in the country re: Covid. There is no quarantine requirement for those entering the state of NH from within NE. All others can quarantine or provide a negative COVID test (looking at you potential judges and musicians). These are facts. I'll admit-- it is MY opinion those on the NE Board had no interest in making O happen. That letter was one long hollow excuse after another. However, if we (as parents who pay these people's salaries) were given access to minutes from board and teacher meetings, we would inevitably find O was dead in the water months ago. I feel sorry for our dancers. And hope the other regions can pull it off for theirs. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: You state yourself you did not have access to the meetings or meeting minutes leading up to this. Therefore, you do not have all the facts. This result was inevitable no matter which way you look at this. If you can't insure an event of this size, it is in no one's interest to hold it.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: You’re right- I’m not a TC nor was I in the meetings. However I happen to work for a major insurance company and understand policies of this nature. I don’t buy the excuse.

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Not sure how others are doing it. Say 2 age groups, 2 ballrooms, many have 80 dancers, plus 1 parent you are now over the 250 limit in many venues. Not including judges or musicians. I understand how kids and parents are upset but I don't understand the push. This is a serious health situation, be safe get old so you will have stories for the grandkids.
