but I feel very uncomfortable going into a state that has clearly asked me not to go there and, adding to that, I'm coming from a state that actually has quarantine restrictions if I go to PA.

Not for us this time - hoping that the Murray Feis goes on without these restrictions.

I don't think they deleted entries of people that were "banned" from dancing in NJ- they may be relying solely on self-report. No way they could turn it around for this recent move to PA and include those kids too.

Honor system, probably.

The states that were unable to travel into NJ were never removed.

I don't think we should anticipate that feiseanna will remove dancers-even if they imply they will.

The whole country is pretty much on fire at this point, anyway- if we are feising, we are taking a chance- there really are only a few locations in the US that can say they are "safe".

Grocery shopping is a necessity. Working is a necessity. Feising is a frivolous and risky choice during a worsening pandemic.

I haven’t grocery shopped in months (there is nothing that cannot be delivered) and I work from home. If I never set foot in a store (Price Chopper or alt) and you never set foot in a feis location then why do you care that I was at a feis? Our paths will never cross and I can live with that.

You are the kind of person responsible for the spread of Covid. I am fortunate in that I will probably never cross paths with you during Covid, but think of all the people who you could put at risk with your selfishness.

That is where you have chosen to assume risk and I have not. When we attend a feis with protocols we are tested within hours of returning home. Are you getting tested every time you come home from Price Chopper?! I don’t think so. ;) We have a better read on our status and gauge of our “risk” at any given time than you do.

Quarantining for travel means no one IN THE HOUSEHOLD can leave for any reason for two weeks. No grocery trips, no picking up takeout, no walks on public beaches. Secondly, all you need to do is look at

schools social media to see that several of these dancers were in class, at feis, or out and about in the 14 days prior. So no assuming there.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Actually I blame McGough. If they didn't contact people offering a refund and telling them not to come, then they were a bit disingenuous expecting that people would simply stay home. I heard they didn't offer refunds unless you contacted them to expressly ask for it.

Heritage, Hershey, Sweetest Feis all refunded people and told them they were not allowed to come, if their state was on the travel advisory list. People had no choice in the matter. That is what McGough should have done, especially since that is what they said they were going to do as an additional precaution.
