We noticed a number of accounts that changed their region - this is a grave transgression, as we expect all dancers to give accurate information on their profiles. I understand that the glitch was only allowing another region to register - but that does not permit anyone to falsify their dancer profile. Please make sure that your information is correct - your teachers and the feis organizers will be able to see your information.

Let's please all do the right thing here!

We all make mistakes.

It's great that we can register our dancers on Wednesday.

In terms of changing our regions, we only did it because we realized there was a glitch and that this was the only way to enter. I'm sure no one was planning to misrepresent themselves, which is not possible anyway given that we have to identify our kids' dance school, and also, we pretty much all know each other by know.

It will all work out ok.

We have been conditioned to do whatever it takes...not that it's right, but that's how I see it.

The parents were clearly not trying to misrepresent their dancer - their dance school was obvious. As for registering early - they shouldn't have opened it early if registration wasn't an option. If the feis had met its cap, it is entirely possible the committee may have decided to just leave things as they were, and there would be no recourse to argue. ('But I didn't know I should have changed my region to enter!' would have fallen on deaf ears and we all know it.)

Kudos to the word of mouth and the scrappiness of parents for figuring things out when the chips were down!
