Subject: People who aren't on the board are still aware of the lengthy process the NE region has when one wants to host a feis. The approvals, making sure dates aren't already being used, etc. We all know you don't just submit a Feis and get approval in 30 days...even switching a day is a process. Maybe a better idea would be for an existing Feis to find co-sponsors. Course the board probably will deny that idea too...

The above poster does know that for sure.

[> [> [> [> Subject: To “Feisanna Karen” who relentlessly yet dutifully monitors this board wagging her finger of false authority at “freeloading” schools - you’re tired of hosting and you feel unappreciated and you want schools to take turns hosting. We get it. You’re BPD, bitter and need a break. You can stop repeating yourself now. Feel validated even though, sadly, we don’t foresee martyrdom in your future.

[> [> [> [> [> Subject: Well aren't you pleasant? She/he's not wrong; people who are posting saying others should host a feis for them to attend really ought to get their school to put one on. A small group of schools in this region do more than their share of feis hosting while others don't do much. Instead of calling names, why don't you see what your school can do?

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Agreed. The largest school in this region has not hosted a feis for years. Happy to have their own kids advance at other feises, but unwilling to extend that opportunity to kids from other schools. Things that make you shake your head.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Largest school in the region? Isn't that HPK? But I thought they had one January 2020. Who else? Seems like ppl in the know are calling out some schools - and it isn't Murray or OSC that usually hold 2 per year. I don't understand why schools can't help each other out and co-sponsor. Parents at this point would be more than happy to help too!!! Maybe time to re-structure things in NE?
