Subject: Thoughts on iFeis?

Loved the Phoenix prep feis hosted by Murray and O'Shea on Saturday. Ran great, low-key, excellent prep for Nationals - well done to all!
Also love the environmentally friendly no paper marks. Kudos.
However, what I don't love is the ability to see EVERYTHING about EVERYONE in the comp. Each judge's scores for all dancers for all rounds are out there for everyone to see. My dancer placed so hers would be on display with feisweb, too, but if she hadn't placed I'm not sure she'd want everyone to see all those marks.
We've all been at the bottom or had a bad day or danced on a hurt foot/ankle/knee, whatever -- I don't think the entire competition needs to see anything but their own scores.
Thoughts?

[> Subject: We've danced many Feis through the iFeis system & I think it's superb. Not only is it fast, but it's great to see the overall standings. This is the norm in every other sport I can think of. If you are currently watching Olympic trials you see who is last, no difference. I also think it's really helpful to see how other judges place overall. It can work as a plus for kids who place low overall - as they might have gotten a high score from a judge in a certain round.

And kudos to the Feis organizers, but I think a parent should be let into the room with their dancer...Enough of that already. Lucky the kids whose teachers attended...
