Subject: Genuinely curious: What determines on whether competitions can be combined? Many feis we went to this spring had three age categories combined while others state (like vermont) that they can not do that. Just curious on why the differences?

[> Subject: A lot of this stems from the dissolution of the NAFC. There were certain national level rules, and then some rules that vary by region. The elimination of the NAFC has left committees and regions picking through what rules do/don't apply anymore.

Author: Maybe that is still true? More... [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 08:00:39 08/11/21 Wed If the syllabus stated U8, U10, U12 as the age groups, and then combines two age groups, U8-U10 could now all dance together? If syllabus stated single year groups U8, U9, U10 etc, then combining two age groups would only be U8 and U9. I do not know if that is still the rule about combining age groups but could explain it if true. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
