Does anyone know how much, per square foot, would be a reasonable price to pay for second hand Marley? I tried checking out the price for new flooring for the sake of comparison, but it seems to vary greatly, so need some advice please.

If that is your only reason for switching from shower pan liner, I wouldn't bother. Spend the money on plywood pieces, and raise them up on 1X2 strips with some rubber cushions between the floor and the 1x2's and the between the 1x2's and the plywood. Then lay your showerpan liner over the plywood.

I've had both Marley and Showerpan liner (layed over raised plywood floors). I definitely prefer the Marley. It is thicker and lays flatter. It is much heavier, so the weight of the Marley makes it lie flat, and it doe not buckle, bow or wrinkly like showerpan liner can.

When showerpan liner is new, it also off gasses a nasty toxic fume, so if you get new Showerpan liner, try to lay it out in the Sun for a few days if you can, before putting it in a closed space.

I bought my Marley used, for a very good price...It was quite old, and marked up, but I scrubbed it up and it is holding up quite well. I have no idea what it costs new.
