Subject: That's really unprofessional if the spectators were in any way connected to dancers in the comp that AD was judging.

In reply to: Judges should not be talking to dancers, TCs or parents at feises 's message, "Glad she got to dance set but one adj got up and left room to find her and convince her to return, it was extremely odd and unprofessional." on 08:14:03 11/14/22 Mon

[> [> [> Subject: If you weren't there, don't comment. The dancer was not going to be placed. The judge approached the mom to ask her to bring the dancer back. They allowed her to dance so they could give her comments, she walked off in her second round which disqualifies her from placing, but a nice gesture to allow her to dance for judges comments. Judge announced the reason why to the spectators in the room.

I am glad the dancer got to dance set, she is a lovely dancer. My response is about tone deaf judges who don't seem to understand it is inappropriate. Maybe as someone suggested it is a learning curve, but there really should be rules about this kind of thing.

[> [> [> [> Subject: I did not address the decision to let this dancer do her set. I addressed the comment by the above poster, which is why my comment was indented under theirs. The AP wrote: "I witnessed this same adj (along with another) come over to the bleachers and hug two spectators at the conclusion of the previous comp. Again, unprofessional and I am sure uncomfortable for parents who had children in that comp and were worried about fair judging". That's what I was addressing.
