Subject: It said right on the syllabus that you would need to provide your own music if you choose to enter the Contemporary Set competition. If you object to doing so, you are free to skip that competition I am sure. Relax, it's just for fun. It's optional, not required to be offered, doesn't affect anyone moving up levels, etc. I think it's nice that they are offering the chance to do the sets in the first place. Winning it will not move you to opens. It is nice for the prelims to be able to be judged on their sets. My dd has moved to oc now but loved doing the set comp at Maine.
