VA Benifits -- Ask Em's Safe Place For Single Heppers

In 1979 I had knee surgery at a VA Hospital for an injury that occured while on active duty. I now have to have a knee replacement because of that injury.

Word has it that the company I work for may let me go becuause I won't be able preform my duties to their expectations. It will be difficult to find another job for the same amount of pay if not impossible.

I would like to see if VA benifits can help but the hospital that preformed the surgery cannot find my medical records.

I have no Idea what next to do or whom to contact.

There should be a law office on the base, if you need it. The records must be somewhere. That was a long time ago and they must have put them in storage. Don't give up. Try to contact those in charge of records. Maybe someone that has been around for a while. Good luck.
