Hey! I competed in Miss Oregon Teen USA Last year and am thinking about doing it again this year. I placed 2nd runner up last year. I have competed in National American Miss 4 times, never winning but always close. I have won photogenic and most promising model. Any suggestions?
I am also looking for a new gown, i know my one from last year is not good. Im looking for white and gourgous, size 2/4.

I remember watching the Miss Teen USA pageant the year Mindy Duncan won... (1988?)
That seemed to be a very interesting year of competition... apparently Illinois... Kathleen McClellan is now an actress and I think I saw her on an HGTV show... Whatever happened to Mindy? Did she ever try for Miss USA? What was the scoop about this pageant????

Tune in early tomorrow morning, Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 27 and watch Miss USA 2008, Crystal Danae Stewart (former Miss Texas-USA 2008) appear on the NBC airing of the 2008 Macy Parade from New York City 10 am Eastern/9 am Central.......and again when maybe if she is part of the ABC version of the Macy parade on their network too....11 am Eastern/10 am Central on ABC.

Can someone please post how tall the new Teen USA is? I am considering competing for my state but am only 5'2 and 95lbs. I am a size 0, olive complexion, black hair, dark eyes and long legs. I am just afraid that I will not stand a chance because of my height. I am very active as Dance Team Capt. for my school and I also do competitive cheerleading. I think my body is very toned but when I think of USA I think of 6' tall girls.

As understood, the 51 teen gals were divided into five groups, at different times this morning, each group of gals had their interviews with the judges seated at two different tables.
Does anyone know who are the judges and is it the same group for tonight's finals, especially since there is no tv this year or will there be a "celebrity" panel seated for tonight at the show, 8 pm at the Atlantis? Any idea on live video pageant online to watch?

Wow what a difference in message boards. I am a former Miss America ED and albeit I love that system I just want to say thank you for being adults about message boards. I follow the message boards for America and they can get down right raunchy and nasty. This board is so different. I don't know maybe I don't know of the other message boards for USA but I believe you are awsome and take the contestants feelings into consideration over here and you watch what you say and how you say things. I want to share some well-kept secrets with all contestants that could seriously give you the edge in the swimsuit compeition AND gown on-stage. Several past winners have used body and face makeup by a company called It Cosmetics.
They have products like "Abs in a Box" "Smokin' Hot Legs" and even "Beautiful Breasts" that totally have the same affect as working out and plastic surgery. I even know some of the past Miss Teen USA winners that still use the products like Shelley Hennig Miss Teen USA 2004 who is now on that show Days of our Lives. She recently said how she uses them on Extra TV. And Tami Farrell Miss Teen USA 2002.

Let me begin by saying that I am not now, nor have I ever been a contestant in any pageant.
I am not related to anyone who was in any way associated with any pageant in the last 15+ years.

With the Miss Teen USA Pageant coming up in the next four weeks, it is obvious that there are some contestants who have less than clean "Rap" sheets.
From what I have read there is one who was caught with Marijuana & Alcohol, possibly during a school sponsored trip.
Then another one who has not problem trespassing on private property & partying with friends on that same private property.
Both of these girls still have their titles and are going to be allowed to participate & what I find really amazing is that there are people on these different boards who are defending this behavior and even blasting anyone who has been critical of the actions of said State Delegates.
Folks, it's time that kids are once again taught morals, etiquette & especially respect for others and the LAW!
Further, anyone who wants to be the Official Representative of Teen Girls all over the USA needs to be of outstanding character.
It's time that it stops being "cool" to be the latest Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan or in general hoodlum/tramp of the week!
Keep in mind that some people have daughters that may look up to you & those parents do NOT want their little girls to aspire to be criminals & or just trashy in general.
For those of you who this message has offended, well maybe it's time you take a self inventory & maybe consider making some changes.

Wow I just googled Miss Teen USA and found a picture of Hillary Cruz Miss Teen USA 2007. I do hope that this picture is of her before she started competing because this young lady has a very chubby face. Also does anyone remember what Trump did to Miss Universe a few years ago when he made such a horrible deal because SHE ATE after the pageant and gained some weight? I hope that he does not do that to Hillary because that could really damage her self esteem and if he does that again it could really hurt future contestants self esteems as well. I think this girl is beautiful and it does not hurt that she is Latina. Again this is not to bash her or the system because my daughter has done pageants for years and she knows the ins and outs of the pageant world but for those girls who don't know and do have body problems I am concerned. Can someone please let me know how she is doing?

This has been posted on a couple of other boards but not here so I thought I'd update you....
According to an email out of Florida & corroborated by the Future Productions website, there will definitely be a Miss Teen USA 2009 pageant.
Even more interesting.... they've extended the age window at either end.
The new requirement is: "Must be at least 14 years of age, and under 19 years of age on February 1, 2009."
This means that you can be anywhere between 14 yrs 8 months and 19 yrs 8 months and compete at TUSA next year (compared to between 14 yrs 11 months - 18 yrs 11 months approx this year)

Well according to directors Miss Teen USA 2008 will not be taking place in April at the same time as the Miss USA Pageant. Miss Teen USA 2008 will take place at it's usual month of August. But the pageant will not be a 2 week even like it usually is, instead it will only be 3 days. Whether or not the pageant will be televised is still unknown, but at least Hilary gets to reign for a full year.

Raven Fenmore is putting on a Ms America Pageant and crowned her own daughter Bethany Camarda MS AMERICA for 2006 & 2007 ..........www.Ms-america.org...... Then there is another Ms America pageant owned by Susan Jeske www.MsAmericaPageant.com ......and the winner is Debbie Nelson. Why are there two Ms America pageants? When I looked on Susan Jeske's website it says that she is the owner of the registered federal trademark since February 2000 with the USPTO. So why is Raven Fenmore infringing on Susan Jeskes rights? Does anyone know what is going on? This is so confusing and not right to the girls competing for this pageant title. I was told that whoever owns the registered federal trademark with the USPTO is the true owner of the pageant. I am so confused? Can anyone explain this to me?

The New York USA Pageant was just held the weekend of
Nov 23-25.. It was by far the most disappointing thing you could ever see.. The judges went all for ethnicity... It is "suppost" to be based on Beauty.. Confidence... and Poise... I am a mother.. and very disappointed with the judges desicions. Many breath taking girls there, and not even noticed, or thrown to the side.. New York Pageant without a doubt lost much buisness this year
