At the state pageant, winner receive at least:
$1,000.00 Cash
Airfare for 2 to Nationals
2 Disney Ticket, 2 Hollywood ticket
Crown/Banner
Some states also give gift certificates for clothing stores, just depends on the state & director.
For a state prize package, that's pretty good. You don't have to pay anything to go to Nationals - no required ad pages at $600 a piece or anything like that.
Keep in mind if you win any of the optionals, thats another $250 a piece.

$3,000
Crown/Banner/Custom Pin
Luggage & Crown Case
Digital Camera (Very Nice ones, too)
Gift Certificates for appearance gowns and suits
Paid travel to attend summer pageants
Consultations with acting coach, Bob Luke & Hair and makeup stylist, Charles Boyd
All-American Queens:
Basically the same prize package, but $2000 cash instead of $3000
