OK the way I see it we can snivel and complain here on the board or let our wishes be know where they need to be known. If you want to continue to see Miss Teen USA aired then let your viewing wishes be known to the proper people. I'm not stupid it may have no effect on the outcome but how are we ever going to know if we don't try. We ALL seem to have the ability to express an opinion and make the time to type on a message board why not take the time to type a message to NBC and Miss Universe?

Let's remember to pray and think of the trajedy in Virginia a couple of days ago. I know Amber Copley and Lauren Barnette are safe, but it must come to a complete shock to have had this happen in their home state. Let's remember them too. Also Sommer Isdale was 3 months old and survived the Luby's massacre back in 1991, so lets think of her family as well. May God help and be with all in this horrible event.

I told the receptionist that I wanted to know the plans for 2008 because my daughter was competing this fall and if she wins I would like to know if Teen USA would be held in March in conjuction with USA...she said "she did not know, they are still planning for 2007 pageant." Anyhow, i told her if they were to have pageant in March with USA that it would interfere with her school work, school activities...time missed to prepare for pageant etc.. i thought that summer time was more appropriate for teens because they have time to prepare, take 2 weeks off without worrying about high school and missing class. Anyhow, she said I was first to call on this issue. she told me to e-mail hkantor@missuniverse.com if we had suggestions or thoughts about this and address it to Paula Shubart. I hope they find a better home for teens. Please people call voice your concerns. More voices the better.

Does anyone think that the lack of the televised broadcast of pageants will effect the number of girls who would normal try for their state pageants? Just a thought.

I was just wondering if anyone new how the girls did in the USA pageant, (the ones that Veteran Poster 88 had a neat post and pictures of the girls that had represented their state in Teen USA and this year would be representing as the Miss for their state), as compared to how they finished when they competed for Miss Teen USA. Just wondering. :)

Miss USA fans can watch the taped episode (of Thursday) tomorrow Monday afternoon on the Oprah Winfrey show with Miss USA 2007, Rachel Smith. Check local listings for time and channels of Oprah in your area. Also, it will be repeated on a cable channel, Oxygen O-channel....on Monday sometime after 6pm Monday..watch!!!

If anyone who frequently posts or views the US boards such as USB, Pageant Central, and the Miss USA forum I would keep an eye on a certain poster. This poster is known as BV. I would suggest you take extreme caution and keep an eye on this poster. This poster is a complete pyscho, and has been banned from several boards already. Please, be warned, this poster seems ok in the beginning, but then has a capability at turning the whole board into a mess. Just ignore this "BV" if any posts seem suspicious, and just keep an eye out.

Trump renews TV beauty pageant deal with NBC

U.S. real estate mogul Donald Trump will remain in the TV beauty contest business for three more years under a renewed deal with NBC for broadcasts of the Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants, the network said on Wednesday.
The contract extension will keep Miss Universe and Miss USA on the General Electric Co.-owned network through 2010, but a third pageant co-owned by Trump, Miss Teen USA, will be dropped from NBC after its summer 2007 broadcast.
The next Miss Universe telecast is set for May, under Trump's previous five-year pageant deal with NBC.
Friday's broadcast of the latest Miss USA contest saw troubled beauty queen Tara Conner pass the crown to Miss Tennessee, Rachel Smith, ending a year in which several scandals revived flagging interest in the pageant industry.
Conner came close to losing her Miss USA title in January over revelations of underage drinking, but she was given a second chance by Trump after she agreed to enter a rehabilitation program. She later admitted to struggling with alcoholism and having used cocaine.

Another Miss USA contestant was fired after racy photos of her surfaced on the Internet, and a third quit when she became pregnant, which is against the rules.
Despite the notoriety, Friday's Miss USA broadcast managed a relatively mediocre 7.4 million viewers -- down slightly from last year. Pageant ratings have been down in recent years.
Trump, nevertheless, touted the extension of his NBC deal with characteristic zeal.
"With each passing year our ratings continue to get better because of the beautiful and intelligent women who participate in our competitions," he said in a statement.

For the 2nd time in 3 years Miss America has been dropped with no TV outlet. CMT has dropped the pageant, just one day after Miss Teen USA has been dropped from NBC.

After watching the preliminary competition video, her are some comments for each delegate:
Alabama : Elegant in evening gown, but bad swim suit presentation.
Alaska : This girl can walk. Sexy and fit in swim suit, but her evening gown presentation is not strong enough.
Arizona : Looks good in swim suit and evening gown, but her height may hurt her chance.
Arkansas : Bad evening gown choice, average in both swim suit and evening gown presentation.
California : Too energic in swim suit like Chelsea did in Miss Universe 2005. But very elegant and amazing in evening gown, absolutely beautiful.
Colorado : Beautiful girl, but not good enough to advance to top 15.
Connecticut : Strong in swim suit, but bad evening gown choice. I think the one for pre-pageant evening gown photo-taking should be used for the preliminary competition.
Delaware : Beautiful and amazing. But her height and swim suit presenation may hurt her chance. I think she nearly make the top 15 cut if she miss.
District of Columbia : She don't know how to walk on stage, pretty girl though.
Florida : She still have miss america girl look, this may hurt her chance for making top 15. But her presenation is good in both swim suit and evening gown.
Georgia : Top 15 contender, she remind me Miss Latvia 2005. Very beautiful, sexy and elegant.
Hawaii : Top 10 contender, she is very tall, sexy, exotic and beautiful.
Idaho : Dark horse for this year. I think she can make Top 15. Pretty girl.
Illinois : Average in both competition.
Indiana : Looks good in swim suit and evening gown, but her height may hurt her chance. Beautiful girl.
Iowa : Tall and beautiful girl, but seems like missing the X factor.
Kansas : Very sexy and fit in swim suit, but looks average in evening gown. Very cute and beautiful.
Kentucky : Exotic and seems like a asian girl.
Louisiana : Another dark horse, very good and sexy in swim suit, and elegant in evening gown. Top 10 contender.
Maine : Another beautiful girl form Maine. One of my favorite gown this year. Top 15 contender.
Maryland : Possible top 15, beautiful black girl.
Massachusetts : Average in both competition.
Michigan : Average in both competition, beautiful girl though.
Minnesota : Like her in Miss Teen USA. May have revenge this year. Sexy and elegant girl, Top 10 contender.
Mississippi : My top pick this year, possible this year Miss USA if her interview is good. Sexy, fit, elegant, tall girl. Compete package.
Missouri : Looks very sexy in swim suit, but I don't like her evening gown choice. Another Top 15 contender.
Montana : Average looking and presentation.
Nebraska : Average in both swim suit and evening gown presenation.
Nevada : Beautiful girl, good in both swim suit and evening gown, but I don't like her skin color and her hair.
New Hampshire : She don't know how to walk on stage.
New Jersey : Average looking and presentation.
New Mexico : Looks good in evening gown presenation, but bad in swin suit presentation.
New York : Very fit and sexy in swim suit, but poor evening gown choice may hrut her chance.
North Carolina : Very odd evening gown choice. But beautiful girl though.
North Dakota : Anohter dark horse. Surprisingly looks very good in both swim suit and evening gown competition. Possible Top 5 contender.
Ohio : Anohter good delegate sent by Ohio. Very elegant and amazing in evening gown. Possible Top 15.
Oklahoma : Looks good in both swim suit and evening gown competition.
Oregon : Disappointed by her presentation. Before the preliminary competition, she is one of my favorite black delegate this year. Beautiful face.
Pennsylvania : Surprise. Top 15 contender. Good in both swim suit and evening gown.
Rhode Island : Very good in evening gown competition, but not good enough in swim suit. Possible Top 15.
South Carolina : She remind me Miss Germany 2001. Another top contender for this year Miss USA. The best body of this year, very beautiful and elegant.
South Dakota : Possible top 15, very beautiful.
Tennessee : Revenge from Miss Teen USA. Sweet and sexy. Another top favorite to win the crown.
Texas : Exotic and beautiful. Top 5 contender.
Utah : Surprise. Possible Top 5, good in both competition.
Vermont : Average looking, nothing special.
Virginia : She is beautiful, but too boring and over-hyped. Possible Top 15.
Washington : Weak presentation in both competition and lack of height.
West Virginia : Look short and have a little baby-fat, but beautiful girl though.
Wisconsin : Beautiful blonde girl and the best cat-walk skill of this year Miss USA. Top 10 contender.
Wyoming : Look sweet and elegant in evening gown, but her swim suit presentation is not good enough.

Melissa went to the after party with the judges and somehow found her way into the arms of the judge and star of Drake and Jish the tv seres and they are now dating....she is in his new music with which u can see on trl or youtube and Drake also just signed her to do back up singing on his tour,
Las Vegas-based singer/songwriter and former Miss Nevada Sandy Kastel has an album coming out that I want to tell you about. It's called "This Time Around" and will include her own versions of "Luck Be A Lady”, “Beyond The Sea”, “Danke Schoen”, “Fever", “Come Back To Me” and some others on it. From what I've heard on her myspace (myspace.com/sandykastel), it sounds good. Check her out if you have time. :)

There is a new pageant out there calling themselves Miss Teen Universe.... Well at least until MUO heard about it! The "Miss Teen Universe" now called Miss Teen UniversAL" after the threat of a lawsuit from muo is about to hold its second pageant in Barbados, West Indies. The first pageant was held last year under the original name and hosted fifteen countries that competed for the title. The US representative took home the crown. If your daughter or yourself is asked to compete in this pageant or you are planning on entering the us prelim when they hold one this year, I would strongly advise against it. The producers are extremely unorganized and don't deliver anything that is promised- like thousands of dollars in prize money!The whole pageant is a joke and has no credibility whatsoever. Save your time and money!
Wow, Dakota looks amazing! Glad to see Iowa has a good chance at having their first Miss Teen USA since Jamie Solinger. Dakota just may go all the way next August. Good luck!!!

As a part of her anti-bullying platform, our Miss Florida Teen USA Annilie Hastey has been very active lately. This past week she took to the schools to spread her message. She read to kindergarten classes last Monday in South Miami Dade. Then she talked to a 3rd grade class Monday about tolerance and hate. She gave out pamphlets donated to her by a high school English teacher, "101 Tools for Tolerance". This is something that unfortunately most children can relate to in their childhood experience. Way to reach out and improve the lives of others Annilie!
