Subject: intek mt505 +binatone terrain650 sisde by side test

Hi all i recently purchased an intek mt5050, having already owned a pair of binatones.
I was quite surprised at some of the results of taking both sets up the local hill.
I set both radios onto scan with the inteks squelch set at the no 1 position. (the most sensitive)
More signals broke through the squelch on the binatone than on the intek + recieved audio was louder and clearer on the binatone.
I have since tried an extension speaker on the intek and thats really improved things .
Neither radio will tell what ctss code is being recieved , although the binatone can be set to scan for it on any one channel.
Dont get me wrong if ever i go out i always pick up the intek , as i still prefer it over the binatone.
After all the binatone has no signal meter or the lpd channels.
come on people what you got and whats the best for you??
