Subject: PMR or CB

Hello,

Going on a European road trip and need a couple of radio's to keep in touch with the other car. I am looking at two very different units. The Midland 42 multi or the intek 3030/ 5050.
The intek 3030, being a very small unit, would be usefull for climbing where as the midland might be a bit large. However the midland will be better for the car.

On the intek 3030 does anybody know if you there is the option to increase the output upto 4 watts like the 5050?
