I am trying an idea where a sportsperson or team can be spoken to (i.e one way communication only) by their trainer.

I am looking for a PMR radio that is small; smaller the better I think. I'll need to connect earphones and I think an external antenna would be useful, as I'm thinking that I'll also include the antennae into some clothing/sport attire or similar.

The range can be limited, say a few hundred meters.

Less cost is better as the budget is limited and if a sports team is to be coached then the cost would clearly be multiplied up.

I do not have the understanding of the products on the market that I expect you guys to have this knowledge and experience and would I appreciate some guidance.

I've seen PMR in watches, so products can be made / are available in a small size.

Maybe at a later stage I could buy a PMR module (if it exists) to match the case to fit a person; does anything like that exist.

Thank you for your help.

Steve

The really small ones I have seen that you can buy down the High Street don't have earpiece sockets to my knowledge (and are bit fragile).
The smallest we sell is the Midland G7E at £79 a pair. http://snipurl.com/fbz61 which we do an earhanger earpiece for.
I have seen cheap pouches for these at http://snipurl.com/fbzau

I will add a link to a diagram shortly. I do not think my text explanation is good enough for your guys to give me the advice I need.

Thanks for your patience, Steve
