Subject: pmr - house to house

I live in a residential area in between my two Sons houses, which are about 150 metres from me in either direction. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to buy 3 pmr 446 radios to communicate, also would it be a good idea? could I meet problems? Also I wonder if anyone could give recommendations as to what pmrs are suitable on a budget? Thanks. Matt.
