Oh yes, I remember the Gay Theatre - dark and musty smelling ewwwwww. Dirt cheap to see a movie and we kept our feet up under us on the seats lest a mouse get us ! EEEK! Horror stories about the mice and rats running around that place. Wasn't there also a theatre on Parliament St. called "Power" or something like that? It was next door to the variety store that had the wooden indian outside with his hand held over his eyebrow - scanning the horizon for the rest of his tribe? McIntosh Taffy, penny candy, pop in glass bottles with a 2 cent return price and Koo Koo Taffy! Craft night at the Kiwanis Club with Mrs. B. - gosh she was a hoot! Summer Camp at Kiwanis and Salvation Army Camp. One year, my cabin counsellor was the daughter of our Sprucecourt Principal - Mr. Morris. Mrs. Boyd, kindergarten teacher that everyone adored. Nap time on our chenile bathmats after our Donald Duck canned orange juice and baby biscuits. Gentle cherubs we were...............ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........
