- Help save the Hill of Tara from development! -- Concerned Irish Dancer, 03:44:08 07/28/07 Sat [1]
Please sign the online petition to save grounds of Tara! Visit: http://www.petitiononline.com/Temair/petition.html . People from any country can sign!
Here's what the petition says:
"To: An Taoiseach, The Irish Prime Minister
I wish to protest the planned M3 motorway through the ancient grounds of Tara. As you are aware, expert archaeologists in Ireland and internationally have pointed out that Tara is not just constituted by the actual hill, but also by the surrounding landscape, which is extraordinarily rich in archaeological monuments. This is precisely the area the planned M3 will cut through, only 1 km from the hill itself.
You are also no doubt aware that the Tara landscape is recognised as a site of not only Irish, but world importance. In particular, it holds a significant place in European cultural heritage. I therefore believe that the Irish Government has a duty to act as the respectful custodian of Tara, and all other ancient Irish archaeological sites, and to protect them for posterity and for the appreciation of present and future citizens of not just Ireland, but of all the world.
I ask you to personally intervene in this issue, and to see to it that one of the alternative routes available for the M3 motorway is chosen instead. I ask you to ensure that Tara remains completely undisturbed and that it is treated with the respect due to both a national and international cultural treasure, "
Thank you for your help!

- Turn $6 into $60,000 in 90 days, GUARANTEED -- RT, 08:08:14 02/26/06 Sun [2]
Turn $6 into $60,000 in 90 days, GUARANTEED
Postal lottery: Turn $6 into $60,000 in 90 days, GUARANTEED
I found this in a news group and decided to try it. A little while
back, I was browsing through news groups, just like you are now and
came across a message just like this, that said you could make
thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of
$6.00!!!
So I thought yeah right, this must be a scam!!! But like most of us, I
was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 to
each of the 6 names and addresses stated in the message. You then
place your own name and address at the bottom of the list at #6 and
post the message in at least 200 news groups. (There are thousands).
No catch, that was it.
So after thinking it over, and talking to a few people first. I
thought about trying it. I figured, what have I got to lose except 6
stamps and $6.00, right? So I invested the measly $6.00!!! Guess what?
Within 7 days I started getting money in the mail!!! I was shocked!!!
I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in!!! In
my first week, I had made about $25.00. By the end of the second week,
I had made a total of over $1,000.00!!! In the third week, I had over
$10,000.00 and it is still growing!!! This is now my fourth week and I
have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it is still coming in
rapidly!!! It's certainly worth $6.00 and 6 stamps!!! I have spent
more than that on the Lottery!!!
Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works!!!
Also, make sure you print a copy of this message now. So you can get
the information off ofit as you need it. I promise you that if you
follow the directions exactly, that you will start making more money
than you thought possible by doing something so easy!!!
Suggestion: Read this entire message carefully!!! (Print it out or
download it.) Follow the simple directions and watch the money come
in!!! It's easy!!! It's legal!!! Your investment is only $6.00 (plus
postage).
IMPORTANT: This is not a rip-off!!! It is not illegal!!! ? It is
almost entirely risk free and it really works!!! If all of the
following instructions are adhered to, you will receive
extraordinary dividends!!!
Please note: Follow these directions EXACTLY, and $60,000.00 or more
can be yours in 20 to 90 days!!! This program remains successful
because of the honesty and the integrity of the participants!!! Please
continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions.
You will now become part of the mail order business. In this business
your product is not solid or tangible, it is a service. You are in the
business of developing mailing lists. Many large corporations are
happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. However, the money made from
a mailing list is secondary to the income which is made from people
like you and me asking to be included on your mailing list!!!
Here are the 4 easy steps to success:
Step 1: Get 6 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each
piece of paper.
PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST
Now get 6 U.S. dollar bills and place ONE inside each of the 6 pieces
of paper so the bills will not be seen through the envelopes (to
prevent mail theft). Next, place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes
and seal them, you should now have 6 sealed envelopes. Each with a
piece of paper stating the above phrase, your name and address, and a
$1.00 bill. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL!!! YOU ARE REQUESTING A
LEGITIMATE SERVICE AND YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT!!!
Like most of us, I was a little skeptical and a little worried about
the legal aspect of it all. So I checked it out with the U.S. Postal
Service and they confirmed that it is indeed legal!!!
Mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses:
R. Somerville
2507-A Cypress Ln
Cedar Park, Tx 78613
USA
S.C.B.
28 Dalrymple Green N.W.
Calgary, A.B. T3A-1Y2
Canada
J. Soup
#1, 2028 Kensington Rd. NW
Calgary, AB Canada
T2N 3R6
Andy Vaughan
511 E Rensselaer St
Bucyrus, OH 44820
USA
S. Secure
Box 3383
Courtenay, BC
V9N 5N5
Rick Lee
1515 Cannon Pkwy. Apt 417
Roanoke Tx. 76262
Step 2: Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move the
other names up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc.) and add your name as
number 6 on the list.
Step 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this message as
close to what you see as possible. Now, post your amended message to
at least 200 news groups. I think there are close to 24,000 groups!!!
All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money
you make!!! This is perfectly legal!! If you have any doubts, refer to
Title18 sec. 1302 & 1341 of the postal lottery laws. Keep a copy of
these steps for yourself and whenever you need money, you can use it
again.
Please remember that this program remains successful because of the
honesty and the integrity of the participants and by their carefully
adhering to the directions!!!
Look at it this way. If you are of integrity, the program will
continue and the money that so many others have received will come
your way!!!
Note: You may want to retain every name and address sent to you,
either on your computer or hard copy and keep the notes people send
you. This verifies that you are truly providing a service. Also, it
might be a good Idea to wrap the $1 bills in dark paper to reduce the
risk of mail theft.
So, as each post is downloaded and the directions carefully followed,
six members will be reimbursed for their participation as a list
developer with one dollar each. Your name will move up the list
geometrically so that when your name reaches the #1 position, you will
be receiving thousands of dollars in cash!!! What an opportunity for
only $6.00!!! ($1.00 for each of the first six people listed above).
Send it now, add your own name to the list and your in business!!!
DIRECTIONS FOR HOW TO POST TO A NEWS GROUP!!!
Step 1: You do not need to re-type this entire message to do your own
posting. Simply put your cursor at the beginning of this message and
drag your cursor to the bottom of this message and select copy from
the edit menu. This will copy the entire message into the computer
memory.
Step 2: Open a blank note pad file and place your cursor at the top of
the blank page. From the edit menu select paste. This will paste a
copy of the message into notepad so that you can add your name to the
list.
Step 3: Save your new notepad file as a txt file. If you want to do
your posting in a different setting, you'll always have this file to
go back to.
Step 4: Use Netscape or Internet Explorer and try searching for
various news groups (on-line forums, message boards, chat sites,
discussions, etc.)
Step 5: Visit these message boards and post this message as a new
message by highlighting the text of this message from your notepad and
selecting paste from the edit menu. Fill in the subject, this will be
the header that everybody sees as they scroll through the list of
postings in a particular group. Click the post message button. You've
done your first one! Congratulations!!! All You have to do is jump to
different news groups and post away, after you get the hang of it, it
will take about 30 seconds for each news group!
REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWS GROUPS YOU POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL
MAKE!!!!
(But you have to post a minimum of 200).
That's it!!! You will begin receiving money from around the world within
days!!! You may eventually want to rent a P.O. Box due to the large
amount of mail you will receive. If you wish to stay anonymous, you can
invent a name to use, as long as the postman will deliver it.
JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT!!!

changing schools -- Concerned Parent, 18:20:08 01/26/06 Thu [4]
My daughter is dancing at a school that seems to have lost some of its focus. They have had a fair number of dancers injured this past year and all of the physiotherapists have said that it is due to them not stretching or warmin up properly. For the past few months the class that my daughter is in has spent upwards of an hour doing stretches and warmups and less than half an hour in instruction time. I can understand the need for warmups my daughter was one of the injured but I am worried about the lack of instruction that is happening. This is a class of 20 students there is no way they can teach anything to these students in half an hour of class. My daughter dances at the Prizewinner level and wants to move up but is very worried that she is not going any where especially with the instructors not teaching at this time. I have spoken to the teachers and it has fallen on deaf ears so now I don't know where to go with this problem.
She has expressed an interest in changing schools but is worried how it will affect her dancing. If she changes schools will she be able to compete again right away or is there a waiting period? She understands that she will need to learn the new schools steps and is unconcerned with that. There are several good schools in our area so that isn't a worry either - she just doesn't want to loose any time.
Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks

The World Academy Feis registration will be open to all dancers on Wednesday, January 11th.
The feis will take place in South Bend, Indiana.
All profits will go to the Memorial Children's Hospital Project.
When my mother, LaVerne Showalter, died from cancer over a year ago, I decided that all of the profits from our feis would go to help families that had children with cancer.
I know how hard it was to see my mother die from cancer and I can only imangine how hard it must be to have a child with cancer.
The World Academy Feis will accomadate 1,150 dancers. Please see Feisworx for details.
There will also be a special perpetual trophy in honor of both of my parents, LaVerne and Partick Showalter.
This competition will be open to all 1st, 2nd and 3rd place dancers in Open Championship. It will be a treble reel competition. This trophy as well as all awards on May 13th will be given with love!!!
We look forward to seeing you at our feis. If you have any questions regarding our feis, please email our feis registar Ginny Logue through our website. Ginny will be happy to assist you.
Our website is worldacademyfeis.com.
Have a great day and please spread the news about our feis registration this Wednesday.

**AS SEEN ON OPRAH**
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reply to: anon-86697339@craigslist.org

***THIS IS IT***ALMOST FREE MONEY AS SEEN ON OPRAH***
Can you really make money so easily? I thought it was impossible. Just read this. I don’t even have to convince you that
this is not a scam…because it makes logical sense how you can earn money through paypal.
A little while back, I was browsing through a newsgroup, just like
you are now and came across an article similar to this that said you
could make thousands dollars within weeks with only an initial
investment of $6.00! So I thought, "Yeah, right, this must be a
scam", but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. :
OPRAH WINFREY and an article published in the Wall Street Journal on 6/16/2001. here is some of it!!
Everyone has heard about "PayPal" (if you haven't you will soon) and, when I came
across this concept I knew it would work because, as a member of PayPal, I had already
experienced their efficiency and excellent standing. PayPal is the simplest method
of making and receiving payments online anyone has ever seen! Anyone with an
email address can join, for FREE! Please read further before you go there...
You can complete this whole process in less than one hour and you will never
forget the day you decided to do so!!! Oh!, Did I say FAST? By fast I mean '
the speed of the Internet-type fast.' Everything is done on the Internet by E-mail.
And, if you abide by the rules, it is NOT considered SPAM, so it's perfectly legal!
Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 though paypal to each of the
emails stated in the article. You then place your own email address
in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200
newsgroup. (There are thousands) No catch, that was it. So after
thinking it over, and talking to few people first, I thought about
trying it. I figured what have I got to lose except $6.00, right?
Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about
the legal aspects of it : It follows the same regulations as the
mailed chain letters, which according to the U.S. Post Office (1-800-
725-2161) is indeed legal! Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well
GUESS WHAT!!?. Within 7 days, I started getting money in my PayPal
account! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money
just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $20.00. By the
end second week I had made a total over $1,200.00! In the third week
I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth
week and I have made a total of just over $36,000.00 and it's still
coming in rapidly. Its : Certainly worth $6.00., I have spent more
than that on the lottery!! : Let me tell you how this works and most
importantly, why it works? Also, make sure you print a copy of this
article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it.
REQUIREMENTS: You must have a verified PayPal account. If you do not
have an account you can go to www.paypal.com and follow the
instructions to set up a free account. In order to place the initial
$6 into your account, you will have to verify your bank account with
PayPal (which may take a few days). Paypal is 100% secure and is used
my millions of people world wide.
STEP 1: Send, though PayPal, $1.00 to each email on the below list (if you dont, you won't be on 6 lists and WON'T MAKE
ANY MONEY! Trust me on this!!).
Make the subject of the payment "Email List" and in the comments,
write "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR EMAIL LIST." What you are doing is
creating a service by this and best of all you are not giving your
address to anyone you do not know.. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL!
The email list:
#1) alextheauthor@gmail.com
#2) melperrier@yahoo.ca
#3) mike@metroboogie.com
#4) windsting@hotmail.com
#5) amecoltd@aol.com
#6) nealleisha@charter.net
STEP 2: Now take the #1 email off the list that you see above, move
the other addresses up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc?.) and add YOUR
email address (the one used on the paypal account) as number 6 on the
list.
STEP 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as
close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at
least 200 newsgroups, message board. (I think there are close to
32,000 groups) All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post,
the more money you make - as well as everyone else on the list!
---- DIRECTIONS----HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS, MESSAGE BOARD----------
Step 1) You do not need to re-type this entire letter to do your own
posting. Simply put your cursor at the beginning of this letter and
drag your : Cursor to the bottom of this document, and select 'copy'
from the edit menu. This will copy the entire letter into the
computer memory. Step 2) Open a blank 'notepad' file and place your
cursor at the top of the blank page. From the 'edit' menu
select 'paste'. This will paste a copy of the letter into notepad so
that you can add your name to the list. Step 3) save your new notepad
file as a .txt file. If you waant to do your postings in different
sittings, you'll always have this file to go back to. : Step 4) Use
Netscape or Internet explorer and try searching for various
newsgroups (on-line forums, message boards, chat sites, discussions.)
Just example you log on any search engine like
yahoo.com,google.com,altavista.com,excite.com then you search with
this subject ?millionaire message board? or ?money making message
board? or ?employment message board? or ?money making discussions?
or ?money making forum? or ?business message board? etc. You will
find thousand & thousand message board. Click one by one then you
will find the option post a new message. : Step 5) Visit these
message boards and post this article as a new message by highlighting
the text of this letter and selecting paste from the edit menu. Fill
in the Subject, this will be the header that everyone sees as they
scroll through the list of postings in a particular group, click the
post message button. You're done with your first one!. Be Honest and
it will truely work for you: Congrats!

- Green Silicone Bracelets for Fundraiser/St. Patricks Day -- Dave Griffiths, 04:34:47 01/05/05 Wed [1]
I have had many requests for the Lance Armstrong type "LiveStrong" bracelets to be used by schools/individuals as Fundraisers
They are available in many different colors and can be imprinted/debossed with your message/school name in any color. Stores are selling these bracelets for more than $5 in some cases, If you want to order for example...1000 green bracelets as a fundraiser, it will cost your school $1 per bracelet...sell them for $2 and you will have made your school $1000 profit! No upfront money is needed as we bill you AFTER you have the bracelets
Smaller quantities are also available for as little as $1.50 each...still giving you room to raise money.
Contact me at daveg@buffspec.com if you are interested in using the bracelets as a funraiser for nationals...or for any other promotional items for nationals from Spirit Wear to mugs to bags etc
As a Dubliner living in the states I will be happy to give you an extra discount for your Irish Dance Schools ;)
call or E-mail me today for more information on how I can help 502 439-8641 or daveg@buffspec.com

Judging vs. friendship -- Puzzled dancers, 03:46:13 01/05/05 Wed [3]
I have been reading many replies that deal with accepting the outcomes no matter what. I undersand the concept but you have to understand that these dancers work hard all year to dance at a higher level. As you go higher you get to know if each player performs at their best. Some of the smaller competitions you zero in on each step, knowing the player and their step. Teachers expect each child to give his or her best effort each time they dance. In spite of the pressures, one knows when the child hits the dance or not. The least we can do is put political favors aside and make changes to better the judging part of the sport. They should encourage a level playing field in spite of the school and board members. More Importantly, we are trying to find out what ever happened to the young boy that danced for the Petri School in the under 8 division. We have been competing for the last year and we have yet to see him. The boy was a friend to both girls and boys he competed against. Always wore a shiny blue shirt. We called him "happy feet" because he never stopped dancing whether he was competing or not. It was always a thrill to see him compete against the boy from Inish free. No matter who he went head to head his smile always lit up the stage, and his footwork was amazing. Any info, please reply!

My name is Shineka. All you Irish Dancers really need to start practicing and stop sitting around because when you guys get on the dance floor you are making fools of your selves. I would imagine that your dance teachers are very ashamed of them selves too beacuse you're giving Irish dancing a horibble look, sense, and smell.

- Well done to all winners at Brean!! But what did you dancers and parents think about the overcrowding on Friday night? I was trying to get some place to practice and found that all the exits at the back were closed and manned by the security so I couldn't get out to get air!! I also saw a well known teacher telling them off because the ceile teams were practising and had no room or air. The teacher made them open the exit doors. I thought it was disgraceful of Pontins to close all the doors when the dancers were gasping for air inside. Also, all the pathways were blocked with tables and chairs and pushchairs and the poor mums couldn't go anywhere. If there was a fire, God only knows what would have happened. I told my mum that I never again want to go there because I have asthma and had to go through hundreds of people, through the arcade etc to get outside for air. Never again!! What did you all think? -- UpUp Dancer, 22:00:47 10/17/04 Sun [4]

WHICH IS BETTER? -- confusedgirl, 23:42:06 06/14/04 Mon [6]
hi,i love irish dancing and i have always dreamed to learn it.To me it is a dream to become a dancer but soon i will be going to college and honestly if i went there i will not have time to learn irish dancing and be good at it.ACTUALLY,i propably will study computer programming and although i hate it ,it seems to me it provides more stable life than becoming an irish dancer. BECAUSE IF i left college to dedicate myself for dancing, i am afraid that i will not be able to easily find a job. YET, i cannot imagine my life without irish dancing.i mean it is either study in college and forget about my dream ( which was in my mind for as long as i can remember)OR follow my dream regardless of all consiquences.PLEASE HELP!
