OK, first the latest news. I am doing my part to support reputable, ethical boxer breeders. Yesterday we welcomed home our new little Copper Hill boy! His name is Ruger. He is quite a hit around here! Sage thinks he is wonderful, but I think she is wondering why I had to bring home such a small playmate. Sage is frothing at the mouth, she is so excited. I don't think I got a chance to tell you all (too much was going on at the time), but last summer we brought home a little rescue that we named Jinni. She is about seven years old and is some sort of terrier/doxi cross. She is Kallyn's little girl. Well, Ruger just thinks she is the most interesting thing around! Jinni thinks Ruger is just the biggest pest around! LOL It was a long flight from Alaska, but he did well and is quite full of himself today! I will try to get some pictures the next couple of days.

Next news...Sage went to the vet last Friday to have her wounds checked. Everything is healing up nicely. Her neck wound was still open and draining and is still in the wait and watch mode to see if the gland needs to be removed. It appears her neck has now healed up, so now we wait to see if her neck starts to swell -- that would mean trouble. While at the vet's office, I had him look at something on her tummy that concerned me and unfortunately, it is a mast cell. She goes in on Thurs. to have it removed. I am so bummed -- I hate those things!

And for the final news....The first part of January my hubby lost his job. While it left us in a very challenging, frustrating position, it was also a blessing because the founder/CEO my hubby was working for is not a good man. Beside the stress of not having a job, we were worried CPS would remove our foster daughter that we just got back into our home. Tom had started looking for a new job before he was let go because he was miserable and unchallenged. Thankfully, he started a new job at the beginning of this month! We feel very blessed because at his level of employment, it could have taken much longer to find a job. He is very excited! He said it is as if they created the position (which is new) just for him. Now for the downside -- the job is in Philadelphia. He tried very hard to secure employment locally, but there just isn't anything here right now for him. We discussed with Trent and Kallyn what we, as a family should do; have Tom commute to work or move with him. We are used to Tom commuting as we did it for 12 years. Both of the kids chose to relocate as a family. It is extremely unfortunate that we relocated here for a job that didn't work, but as Tom's grandpa used to say, "Whatcha gonna do." We are hoping to get the house listed in the next few days and hopefully move after the kids have finished the school year. Definitely not what I had planned for the summer, but anyway......

As for our foster daughter, I feared we would enter into another big battle with the department and guardian about taking her with us because her brother lives here in CO. Turns out I was worried for nothing! Her case worker is starting the paperwork for Kaycee's adoption!

Now the challenge is trying to have the house ready for show on a moments notice with three kids, four dogs and one puppy, four horses, a goat, two cats, etc. Please wish me luck with my sanity!

That's it for now. I have a sleeping puppy so I am going to try to get a few things done around here!
