Subject: Admitted him to kitty hospital

We have a firm dollar limit and a tentative time limit. Until then ... IV antibiotics. Some concentrated (forced nutrition). The vet says if the animal is capable of making a rebound, it usually happens quickly with that support. The understanding is that if he can't/won't eat on his own in short order then there is nothing to be done that is sensible. He says we should not make it so hard on ourselves by trying too much for too long. I'm not quite at that point ...I don't think William is either, although his body may have other ideas. Ian and I are more comfortable with this one last effort than we are without it. (Gads, close to $3000 out on sick cats in just a couple of weeks. See what happens when people don't have kids to spend their money on?) ...darn dryer died two weeks ago and Ian's truck needed brakes and front rotors. Makes me want to kick the house till my toes break.
