| Subject: I also wanted to add a note on the character of these women. Many of the women who have competed and won this pagent have suffered some form of abuse in their life. The Mrs. Globe Pagent and the WIN Foundation have been instrumental in guiding these women's lives to a path of healing and self empowerment. The beauty that shines from most of them is the beauty and self confidence that comes from within. So many, have walked away from their previous pain and are working on their own healing through their work of helping others heals by endless works of community service with the WIN Foundation. This organization is not just a beauty pagent for the superficial beauty for the beauty of the soul. I am involved with the WIN Foundation and have not participated in the Mrs. Globe pagent, but understand the important work it is doing and will always be one of its biggest fans. |
