I would like to recommend a resource that I use with a group of pupils who I support in Multi Sensory Learning sessions. I don't know if anyone uses the THRASS programme in their school, (Teaching Handwriting Reading and Spelling Skills). There is a sing a long CD with words and music, created by Alan Davies and written by Janine Plunkett. We use the song words interactively on a whiteboard for the children to learn and we use musical instruments for a multi sensory approach. The sessions are very successful, we dance as well whilst we are learning putting actions to the words. I have found this a great way of using Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic styles. I would be interested to hear if anyone has used this resource? If anyone would like information about this resource find it at www.THRASS.co.uk.
