 Hello!, I am training to be T/A and have a much voluntary/work placement experience, along with a 6 and 7 year old myself.

How about taking a small group outside to collect things autumnal, once inside, discuss the colours/textures and then stick leaves on paper with a pre drawn tree on, to resemble, yes a tree!! Use watered down glue to paste over the top, leave to dry and eh..vwallah, a beautifull picture to take home.

Good luck, I am job hunting when I finish my course.
