I don't know if they work. Probably any punishment that a girl finds humiliating won't work, but if it is only mildly embarrassing it might be okay.
My college roommate from last year's family doesn't exactly use corner time, but they use naked grounding on his sister, who is 12 now.
At first when I used to go over there we kind of hit it off well. I was her older brother's cool friend, and she was his cute little sister. But then the first time she was naked it was kind of hard for her to talk to me. I thought maybe asking her stuff about her punishment and what she had done would make it easier on her, but it just made her more embarrassed. But by the time I had seen her naked a bunch of times it didn't bother her so much any more. The last time, just before Memorial Day, it was kind of funny because she was being punished for getting caught sunning herself naked with her best friend. I told her I liked her all-over tan, and she was like, thanks, that's why I'm being punished, LOL.
They got caught by her friend's brother, two years older, and she said it was really embarrassing, but if he were to see her being punished by being naked she would want to die. I don't think she meant that literally, but I think subjecting her to that kind of humiliation would be wrong.
So it really depends on you whether naked corner time is good for you or not. If I were a friend of your family I would like seeing you bare, but I would try to be nice about it so you didn't feel worse. It would be a lot different for me seeing a girl your age naked, since you could be a potential girlfriend, than seeing a sixth grader. I lived on a coed floor last year as a college freshman and I did see a fair number of girls naked just randomly, besides my roommates little sister, so I probably would be able to just accept it as a normal thing better than a year ago when I was in high school.
I guess you would be 17 now, but if you are still punished the same way and read this, let us know, or let us know if it stopped and what happens now.
