As we were travelling for some time I decided it would be best for my nephew to remain nappied for the journey. His initial protestations earned him a spanking even before the off. It is a shame that Governesses are not as prevalent these days as they once were. You obviously required special discipline but, nevertheless, you benefited from the one-to-one teaching she gave you. I often see unruly boys in the street; drinking, shouting and generally making a nuisance of themselves and I lament the passing of the good old days when boys were disciplined correctly.
