Hello, I really would love to adopt the little female kitten in the Petco off Sunrise in Patchogue, NY. I have always had a cat. I lost my cat of 14 years about a year and a half ago. It still breaks my heart and I really miss him. His last year of life he got diabetes and I gave him his shots twice a day. I'm a very loyal pet lover. This is the longest I've gone without a cat but I couldn't bring myself to get another. I walked into the petco to buy my Moms cat a Christmas toy and totally feel in love with this little kitten. She's so sweet and it breaks my heart that she's in a cage when she could be in our loving home sleeping on our warm beds. My daughter is 11 (she wants to be a vet) and my son is 13 and an animal lover as well. Both are very gentle with animals. I wouldn't have it any other way. They've been wanted another cat for a year now but I just missed mine so much I couldn't bring myself to get one until now. I really feel like I'm ready. I had another cat prior to my Rocket and she lived to be 16. I keep my cats inside and they become loving members of our family. I take them for their shots. I live in a house not an apartment in Center Moriches and have gone to DR Savino and Dr Duffy for my pets. I work as a Para in Clayton Huey Elementary school and can give all the references you need. I understand and believe you should be very selective with who you allow to adopt your kittens but I really would give her a loving home. I've left a few messages on your phone line but I don't want to be a pest. I've stopped into Petco and she's still there. The employees there told be to keep calling because sometimes it takes weeks for a response. It truly breaks my heart to think she'll be in that cage any longer when she could be with us. I also would hate to see her go to another home when I know what a wonderful life she'd have with us. Please call me back and let her start the life she deserves with us. I already have all the bells and whistles a cat could ask for, Window perch, drinking water fountain, scratching post, beds, (but you know they always like ours instead) you name it, she'd be so happy and so would we! Thank you so much for your time, Laura (lahoran4@aol.com, cell phone 516-445-4931)
