*this first one i wrote after i asked this guy out, tripping over myself*
Unsweetened Nothings
My tongue-tied confessions of love meant naught
To the boy's ears, which met it with protest
A polite no was not what my heart sought
True love's existence did not pass my test
My days are filled with night and bleak outlooks
My nights, void of a single star, mean less
A person in the dark looking in nooks
Will only be met by black nothingness
Seasons come and also go, as does love
Fall, Winter, Summer, Spring. Dying, dead, live 'gain
Back and forth, up and down just like a dove.
Bullet through the wing. Down, down in great pain
Old love now lost has such a weird strange feel
Not really proven, still painfully real
*the second one i wrote when our friendship never recovered*
Bittersweet Conclusions
I hate him for meaning so much to me
There's the urge to break every bone in him
Pulling him close would also bring me glee
Chances of either are narrow and slim
I'm done being in a game I'll always lose
The longer the game, the harder my heart
Not another minute should I excuse
The acts of people ripping me apart
I accept the fact that I am bitter
But I deny that it is without cause
It's like a disease from a transmitter
Changing my purity from "is" to "was"
There is no real way for this to conclude
No end for the wooer or for the wooed
