I guess I'm with all the others. I completely forgot about Alec. Nice move :) It also explains why Taryns going to die, or rather, is supposed to.

I guess it could be translated metaphorically (did I spell that right?) where he dies emotionally. I can't imagine what it might feel like to have left a family member behind in an awful situation, just to have them be tortured. And then, to learn that my lover is the one that has to kill him and clean up my mess.

Then, to top it off, the lover who is suppose to kill the brother, isn't exactly stable at the moment. So there will always be that thing in the back of his head wondering if Justin killed him out of duty, defense, petulance or just plain old insanity.

Now, I don't mind one bit if a story has a sad ending and not a happy one. Most people like a happy ending though. I just don't see this one, with this turn of events, ending well for anyone involved. But then again, we still have one mystery yet to learn about...the Vampire Dawn. Whatever that might entail, I can only guess.

In summary, nice work Com, as always. And I remain, as ever, on the edge of my seat waiting, nay...begging, for more.

We, who are about to read, salute you!
