The traps had been set! And we were locked inside! I have no idea how they chose us individually or why! I have no idea how they got us to this remote island during our sleep cycles! And even though they promised a guaranteed escape from the docks on the other end of the wooded area...I didn't know whether or not we could even trust them enough to give us hope that it was real.



The humans have evidently stepped their game up. They've come to know about our hidden feedings, our secretive midnight snacks upon their friends and loved ones. How could anyone expect something as huge as a daily murder of a city's population to remain under the table. Lord knows that I've fed on enough human blood to get me the old lethal injection 50 times over. I'm sure we all have. Their life for our life. That's how it works.



Well...evidently there are a few family members who weren't so happy with that arrangement. And that is simply where our story begins. Seven vampires, complete strangers to one another, trapped on an island and being forced to fight for our very survival against an unseen enemy.



They will be hunting us down, one by one. If we work together, some of us will be getting off this rock alive...but not all.



Definitely not all.



The only question is...who will live to see another midnight sky...



...And who will be burned to ashes in the morning sun?



Let's hope I live long enough to discover the answer.
