Your subject line is messed up.

"The reason its so obvious to some and so oblivious to others is..."

should read...

"The reason it's obvious to some, while others are oblivious to it, is..."

The way you wrote it, you're saying that the "it" is oblivious, not the "some".

Regarding the whole its and it's useage; i.e. "it's" would be "it is", which is the correct useage in that statement.
