I lay on the bed, glancing at the clock. It shouldn't be much longer now. Through my hazy vision, I can barely make out the digital numbers reading 11:45.

There’s no blood

From the truth
Of a thousand lies
The pill bottle sits empty on the bedside table. The half-empty bottle of Old #7 in one hand, and a scrap of paper with only a scarlet-colored "A" written on it is clenched tightly in the other. There will be no mistake what happened here, nor why. The clock reads 11:50.

What I’ve done
He'll never again have to look with scorn and contempt into my eyes. Now he can move on with only the memory of how I betrayed his love. The blurry haze creeps further from the edges of my vision. 11:54
