The Obdurate Avidity
Chapter 33

-TurtleBoy-

My mind was on auto-pilot, I had little to no control over my actions and I didn’t care for such a luxury. I had one thing that I had to do, one thing I had to accomplish; if anything were to happen to James I would never forgive myself. It felt as if everything that was happening or has happened was my fault, all the blame could some how be traced back to me. It wasn’t pushing it at all; James had lived here for months with out any problems here. The moment that I arrived into his life things turned bad and James was no longer safe.

Branches and leaves slashed and grazed up my sides, my arms were stinging and swollen, but I didn’t care, with every cut and wound only meant I was just that much closer to retrieving James. This wasn’t fair, all the crap I have put him through and all the problems that I not only caused him, but most likely had made worse. Why couldn’t I just leave things alone, if I had acted like a normal person from the start none of this would have ever happened, of that I was almost certain.

The trees were becoming barren and dark; my surroundings were quiet and hollow of life. It was at that moment I knew James was near, that he was in fact where I had suspected him to be; it was like I could hear his silent plea and could feel the pain of his thoughts. The Sanctuary was coming into view and all noise had ceased from reality, it this was reality. With every step a degree of excitement mixed with impatience played harder against my thoughts, I could have sworn that I had seen Caleb standing several yards away behind some trees, and I could have sworn that he was laughing at me. Whispers began to echo in my head, so rhythmic that I could no longer tell if the noises were real or if it was just my mind playing tricks on me.

As I neared the front entrance I began to feel stranger than I had ever felt, it was like I was no longer alive but not yet dead all at once. The smell of rotten eggs over took my senses, which could only mean that sulfur was in the air, this had to mean that James was close by. Whispers screamed louder with every approaching step that I took and every breath I exhaled, every beat my heart dare to thump. I felt dizzy and scared, impatient and apprehensive all in one conflicting instance. The massive iron covered door standing a good fifteen feet tall rested partially open; was it this big before?

Leaning into the door with all the force and weight that I could summon, I pushed open the giant obstacle and carefully made my way down the long dark corridor. I could feel the coolness of the stones below my feet, but the air was heavy and heated with an unexplainable thickness. The walls were covered by dark moisture almost like morning dew; only it was thicker and had a dark off-tint to it. Beyond the darkness a flickering light rapidly bounced off the any intervening surroundings which was giving the walls and their floors a strange shimmering glow. It wasn’t much more than twenty feet ahead of me that had been where me and James had almost been killed due to our last visit to this place of concentrated evil, but this time there was no sign of life… or death for that matter… in my path, nothing holding me back nor trying to stop me. The smell of sulfur was becoming stronger with every approaching step that I took, it got to the point where I was feeling sick to my stomach. Before I could think to cringe, a faint sound of someone crying… or maybe laughing? … echoed throughout my surroundings, which at first thought, appeared to be escaping through this dark yet glowing set of doors in which I was fast approaching. Apprehension and fear tried to send me back, but the possibility that James was only a few short feet away kept me pacing onward.

With a long slow breath in attempts to exhale my anxiety and fears along with a dry uncomfortable gulp, I reached out my arm and pushed on the door which was now in front of me. It creaked and moaned as it slowly swung open and crashed against the stone wall that held it up, the room was filled with a bright, nearly blinding light. Past the center of the light, a darkened shadow sat in almost a fetal position, huddled against the floor as if it were crying. I couldn’t tell if it were James that I was looking at, nor could I find the nerve to say something, so instead I slowly walked towards it.

The hairs on my arms began to singe and burn into nothingness as the smell of burnt hair nauseated me even more than I already was. My skin began to blister and scorch, still I revealed no sign of retreat; I could feel my body beginning its feeble attempts to heal. With the brightness escaping from the exhaust of heat I was more than relieved when the darkened red tint graced me with a return to my sights. Blinking a few times, I allowed my pupils to readjust themselves; once this was accomplished, I still couldn’t tell if it was in fact James who was sitting before me. Pain began to mix and enwrap over me, with the stretching almost tingly feeling of my body healing itself, I crouched down directly behind the shadowy figure in front of me; reaching to grab its shoulder in hopes that he, or it, would turn around to face me.

My arm looked disgusting; it was blackened from the scorching heat and seemed to be half transformed into the horrifying beast within me. My fingers were the worst, long and distorted, bloody and half melted in appearance. I feared if it were James that I was approaching that I would startle him and cause him to attack me, or if it weren’t him, I’d simply be at the mercy of this entity before me due to the stupidity of my approach on it.

“James?” I whispered softly, just before I placed my disfigured hand upon his shoulder.

“Adrian.” Whispered the figure.

“What’s going on?” I asked hesitantly, unable to recognize the voice’s reply.

“You should not have come.” He replied, his head turning towards me slowly, “They’ll kill you.”

“What? Who?” I dropped my other hand on the other shoulder of the person before me, “Who James?”

“ME!” Screamed the figure as a heavy force pressed harshly against my abdomen causing me to loose control of my surroundings, I felt a brief weightlessness up until my back crashed into something hard and jagged.

Falling from the wall and down onto my knees, I shook my head in attempts to raise myself back to my feet, however the very moment I made any promise of accomplishment I felt something sharp cradling my neck as my feet were suddenly forced off of the ground. My heart nearly forgot to beat as I struggled to gain control of myself, without so much as a thought I swung my right arm towards whatever was holding me up and with no more than the harsh sound of something cracking I fell back to the floor. The room grew to a dark and eerie silence, suddenly dampness overwhelmed me and I became consumed whole by a strange thickened moisture which was quickly followed by the harsh smell of burnt fungus. I climbed to my feet once again, allowing my eyes to refocus to the sudden drop in visibility. I quickly examined the room, preparing myself for anything that might happen at any given moment. The voices, they had returned to me…. ~YOU MUST!~ It screamed, ~YOU MUST!~ it screamed once more, this time louder and more demanding.

“MUST WHAT!” I yelled back at it, feeling frustrated and annoyed I swung my fists around the room in random dismay, attempting to destroy everything and anything that might dare to get in my path, but hitting nothing but the dampness of air.

~YOU MUST!~ ~DESTROY ME!~ … ~Destroy us ~ I froze with dread right where I stood, dead center of the room, my arms dropped to my sides as I looked around in random confusion.

“Who!” I screamed back, “Who are you!” I dropped to my knees, unsure if I had done so deliberately or by chance and cradled my face with my… claws? Looking at myself I was no longer what I thought I was, not completely anyway. I appeared to be partially myself and partially beast, but both at the same time… Like I had been frozen during metamorphosis.

“You know who we are Adrian, all you have to do is open your eyes.” Said the voice, but this time it spoke no whisper.

I lifted my head and opened my eyes cautiously, the blur of someone standing far on the other side of the room, still making it hard to make out who it was, “Come closer!” I demanded with near regret.

“What’s the matter Adrian, don’t you recognize me?” The person before me slowly stepped forward, its feet making a strange slopping sound with every step that it took, I peered up at what I now knew for sure was a ‘him’ and felt my jaw literally drop as far as it could manage.

“Perhaps…” He chuckled softly, “Perhaps, you don’t recognize us… with our head attached to our shoulders.” A dim light spread across the face of the person before me and just as I thought I could not become more afraid than I already was, I realized who it was…

“Martial? How…. I saw you die! How are you here? What did you do with James!”

Martial said nothing, instead only glared off into the corner of the room and portrayed an eerie smirk which chilled me deep to my bones. He snapped his glare back in my direction and burst out into a gorge of uncontrollable flames he started a loud and echoing laugh. Throwing his arms outward a heavy wind circled his wrists in a split second as the room rapidly increased in temperature, my entire body felt as if it were about to explode from the inside out. I saw a heavy cylinder like ball of flame encircle and quickly consume me, my flesh scorched instantly nearly causing me to pass out. The moment my head realized what was happening and the smell of burning flesh became overwhelming, I felt an untamed burden of sudden anger take me over; my head began to ache and all my joints flared, becoming sore and swollen. As my body began to swell and blister, I felt my muscles almost burst at a boil. My insides were being flipped around and knotted in no more than several quick seconds; time seemed to be standing still, pieces of my skin began to fall from my arms and chest and crumble into ashes as it was thrown back off of my body and blown in behind me, smoke quickly filling the room, the feeling of pain seemed to become dull, as if I were about to die.

I fell to one knee and clenched my arms to my chest in a huddle of mercy to preserve my own life. I dropped my shoulder hard against the stone floor and felt the coolness of the rock absorb deep into my muscles, it was than I could feel it, a strength that I had never felt before, a power that I didn’t think I’d ever be able to control… A subtle smile crossed my face, the pain was so great that it was beginning to cause my body some kind of obscure pleasure, my bones creaked and grinded against each other as the room went from a harsh tint of red to a heavy glowing blue. Jumping into the air and landing in a crouch on my feet, using my left hand to stop me from loosing balance, I heard myself cry out in laughter. My voice was deep and rough, but it was with out a doubt my own. My body was rapidly changing faster and faster by the second, I raised my head and threw back both of my arms, spreading out all my fingers to reveal ten lengths of razor sharp claws.

Gripping my pointed toes deep into the stone below my footing, feeling its coolness induce relaxation to the muscles in my legs; I shot my entire self forward into the heavy length of fire which was still being forced upon me. In one quick movement I swung my right hand and slashed my left leg into Martial’s inhuman body and twisted my nails deep into his head, a long blood curdling scream ricocheted off the walls and rebounded off the floor. He brought up one of his knees and forced a heavy blow into the side of my abdomen, with a yelp I fell back and rolled to the floor. I whipped myself around, pivoting my entire body, jumping against the wall behind him while thrusting myself against his back. Upon landing on top of him I dug my teeth deep into his skull, feeling them piercing deep into his brain with a crackling slop of noise. The taste of blood wasn’t present but the raw sense of pain was evident. I could feel his fear and panic increase as he realized that his obstacle of flames would not hold me back any longer than it already had. Taking a monstrous joy in ripping out every last piece of his inner organs and making sure not to leave one single piece in any shape to reform and bring him back to a living state once more. In turn, I allowed the now lifeless corpse to fall heavily to the ground in a thud of limpness.

The feeling satisfaction settled in as I stood up from my ravaged remains which I had just proclaimed as victim; slowly circling the room in desperate search of any evidence that James had been present. Only disappointment had been left behind, not even his scent could be mustered in this now emptied and expunged deception of a room. Taking one last look at the disgusting pile of carcass that I had just created, I began to wonder if that thing which now lay lifeless and empty in a sprawled out mess against the tattered stone of the floor, could have actually been at some point, the boy James had once known as Martial at some point…

I exited the room on all fours, creeping slowly and carefully into the corridor. Silence scared me more than anything, leaving an uneasy feeling which proved dominant against my will. It was beginning to seem more and more likely that this is to be the only thing or feeling that I was going to receive from this old abandoned fortress. Venturing with caution and alertness down the seemingly endless corridors, taking a glance directly over to where James had once become consumed with endless flames which had been created by some unknown entity; the same entity in which may or may not have been on our side of all this torment. I noticed an archway leading towards upward travelling stairs. That had to be it, the smell of rotten eggs had once again returned and there seemed to be no other place to turn.

I lost control of myself and through excitement, ran up the steep set of stairs as fast as I could manage, my claws scraping and scratching against every thing they came into contact with, making it impossible to approach with even the laziest attempt of stealth. I reached the top of the stair well with out any other problems, but knew from the last time that I had visited, there was no such thing as easy. I shoved open a thick wooden door and shot my entire body inside with the attempt to surprise anything that dared to be waiting for me.

“Adrian.” I heard from across massive room, standing nearly one hundred feet away stood a man, possibly six feet tall covered in a heavy brown robe and bound with a braided rope, “Come closer boy.” His voice demanding and carried with a low pitch that ended roughly with a staggered crackling hiss. It was almost impossible to hear him properly due to that hiss, but he continued without repeating himself; placing something on an altar in front of him he slowly turned himself around to face towards me.

“Who are you?” I struggled out wearily.

“That doesn’t matter right now.” His movements were off set, every thing he did seemed unreal and distorted. His form was sketchy and seemed to flicker to a random static, like he was on television and being viewed with horrible reception, “Beyond this room you will find who you are looking for. He’s going to need you Adrian. Just as you are going to need him.” He stepped down from a large oval stage and slowly walked towards me. His form seemed to blotch out every so often, with every step he would phase out and appear to be closer. It was then that I realized, that it wasn’t his voice that was causing the hissing, it was him as a whole. His existence seemed to expel it from his movements, and his voice was carried through it. As he approached I felt shivers race throughout my body, feeling weak I fell to the ground. My limbs heated up and ashes began to fall from my body. In no less than a moments pace I had been reformed into my original human state.

“How did you do that?” I asked through a curious combination of fear and surprise.

“Stop with the questions and listen boy!” He demanded angrily as his flashing aura sped up, causing him to appear to me as a colorless grayed silver. Now only a few yards from where I was, “You know what you are and you’re learning what you’re capable of. Don’t you think for one minute that you can control that beast within you… Not alone! You need the other boy. He is your anchor, do not loose him… and do NOT betray him!”

“James? He’s alright? Tell me he’s alright!” I demanded.

“The one you know as James may have an ability, but you’ve already discovered how limited it can be. He can not heal as well as you and because of this you must see that he remains out of harms way.” The strange man paused, as he took in a long deep breath like he had lost his patience with me, “The other boys… twins, you met them… yes?”

“Yes… I did.”

“They are not as they seem to be. Not what you think shall come of this. Stay close to them or loose the battle forever.” His words were confusing, like he had been taking lessons with Yoda. Couldn’t he just speak normally? So that I could understand what he was trying to say? His head whipped to the side as he glared into nothingness, as he turned back his face spoke to me only as fear and dismay, “I’m running out of time… The brethren know I am here. GO! Get your friend and remember what I said! I will return to you in three moons. Look for the star that sails with the horizon and go to it.” His voice grew faint and staggered; his motions seemed troubled and concerned….

“What, what do I do? What’s happening?” I found myself nearly begging this man, this seemed to be the closest to any real answers that I had ever gotten, he can’t leave us now, not yet!

“GO! GO NOW!” He screamed, “If they find you, all is lost!” I raced through the door where the man had told me James would be. Sure enough, curled up in the corner of the room laid James, huddled into a defensive position with his face buried in his knees.

“James!” I screamed with joy, “Come on, let’s get out of here.” I dropped down in a crouch and picked him up carefully. Holding him firmly against my chest I turned around and ran back through the door, by the time I got back into the main room, the man was gone. “James? Are you alright?”

“Adrian… you came for me… what happened? Are… the Strudels done?” His tone was so serious I had to stop myself from laughing and try to concentrate on getting us the hell out of here.

“Don’t worry about them, I’ll make you some more… We burnt the first batch.” I smiled down at him and rubbed my cheek into his forehead, “Let’s just get back home first.”

We made it out of the Sanctuary without a problem and approached the trees without conflict. I placed James down onto the ground the very moment I saw grass and life growing around us. Leaning him softly against the trunk of a birch tree, he looked up with droopy reddened eyes with a smile of appreciation, “You came… You love me?”

“Of course I love you James, are you alright?”

“Yea… just tired and thirsty, where are we?” He opened his eyes a little more and studied our surroundings with confusion.

“For real? You don’t remember? …We’re about five minutes away from The Sanctuary, where I found you. Do you remember how you got there?”

“What? No… I thought you were making us Strudels and all of a sudden I hurt all over… and now… we’re in the woods.” James shot up from where he was laying, peered around at our surroundings, then grabbing his head he fell backwards missing the tree and sprawling out on the grassy floor.

“Let’s not worry about that right now, we’ve got other things to worry about… We’re both stuck in the woods, I think there’s a massive hole in my bathroom wall and we’re both naked in the bushes.”

“This is so messed up.. What are you talking about?” He looked around once more and appeared to be lost all over again, before he could ask me what happened once again, I lifted him to his feet and helped him walk with me back toward the house.

“We going home now?” He asked with a smile.

“Yea James, we’re going home.”

James kept falling in and out of reality the entire way back, I ended up having to carry him on my back most of the way, he kept passing out and fainting; I really hoped it was dehydration, which could be sorted out fairly easily… Anything else and I’m freaked. Of course that man did assure me that James was fine and for some reason I felt as if I could trust him… I’ll just hope that I’m not making another stupid mistake, I’ve had enough of those lately.

“James?” I shook his shoulder and tried to bring him back to consciousness, “I’m going to try and sneak into my house and bring us back some clothes alright? I want you to just stay here, can you hear me? I’ll be right back, don’t move.”

“I hear yea… I’ll stay here, you go.” He said as a suggestion.

“Good idea.” I giggled softly, “Now don’t move, you’re beside a road, so try to stay still.”

“Got it, I’ll stay here, you’re gonna go.” He replied, I figured this could go on forever, so I just turned and made my way towards the house. It was still bright out and people were definitely still up… I doubt it was too much past dinner time. I darted across the street and into some bushes on the other side, peering cautiously over the shrubs I quickly felt satisfied that no one was around, so I made a break for the stairs that lead up to the second floor. With out thought, as I approached the house I crouched down and swiftly jolted my body forward into the air and grabbing hold of the railing than wrapping myself over to the other side, suddenly finding myself only a couple of stairs from the top. Feeling a bit impressed with my self, I crept downward and peered around the bottom corner of the large window which was attached to the sliding glass door. Seems I was in luck, no one appeared to be present.

Rolling backwards, I shimmied myself up the wall so that I was sitting on the sill of my window. Peering back towards James to make sure he was okay, I lifted the sash and drew open the window, gently making my way through to the other side. With a quick scan of my room, I stealthily made my way to the dresser and scrounged through its contents, randomly pulling out anything that I could. I threw on a pair of black basketball shorts and a blue t-shirt and grabbed James a white t-shirt and black track pants.

The sounds of boot covered footsteps began to travel along the floors downstairs, accompanied by the deepened voices of several men and the higher pitched tone of my mother. Her tone was furious and panicked, like she couldn’t get her words out fast enough before someone else would say something to calm her. The footsteps began to make their way closer and louder, the clunking of heavy feet meeting the stairs one after the other and multiplied in a ricochet of many. I had to hurry and get out of this place, they were coming upstairs… Fuck! The bathroom! I’m in so much trouble, how am I gonna explain this to anyone? I can’t even properly explain it to myself…

*REeeeArrrK!* The sounds of squealing tires burst through the air, rubber sliding across asphalt soared past the muffling sound barrier, piercing my eardrums and drowning out the sounds of the nearing footsteps.

“Holy Shit! … Are YOU alright?!!” Screamed an unfamiliar voice from somewhere outside. My head fell dizzy and I couldn’t make myself think fast enough, James was still outside! I spun around and jumped on top of my bed, barely touching the mattress as my legs thrust my entire self through the window with nothing more than motor function. A gentle thud against the wooden floor of the upper deck outside of my room, I scampered my limbs onto the rail next to the stair well and kicked off into the air, the breeze burned heavy against my face as I quickly soared down to the grassy land below me; with a quick roll I regained my minds sense and bolted at top speed towards the street where a large cement truck was diagonally halted in the middle of the street with its rear tires burrowed deep into the dirt and shrubbery that bordered the end of my yard. A heavy looking man dressed in blue overalls and an old looking grey baseball cap was jumping out of the vehicle as he stared curiously at a curled up naked boy lying in the middle of the street.

“SHIT!” I screamed on impulse, I felt my hands hitting against the grass and my legs pushing hard as I travelled closer and closer to where the horrific thoughts were protruding from.

As I neared the scene, something looked off, not quite right. The man wasn’t moving towards the boy, he was moving towards me. The boy wasn’t curled up; he was sitting casually… smiling at me. I looked towards the bushes where I had left James, but he wasn’t there. I continued my approach at a heightened caution, unsure of what exactly was going on, just as I was about to climb up the ditch that led to the street, something pummeled into me; forcing my body into a violent barrel roll and crashing harshly against a mound of coarse feeling bushes. Before I could register what was happening a shadowy figure was over top of me, my eyes began to adjust to the change in lighting, but were forced shut due to the heavy invasion of what had to be a fist against my right cheek bone. The back of my head bounced against a rugged and sharp branch or root causing me to blink repeatedly, through the flashing vision the figure began to focus and register more clearly to me, as the world was taken over by the expected reddened tint. Greif overtook me as the figure was revealed to my site, “Austin!?”

“Adrian!” Screamed the voice of James from only several feet away from me; looking to my side, the naked silhouette of James was crouching next to a tree, only a couple yards away. He looked pale and disoriented and was awkwardly struggling to throw on the clothes that I had attempted to bring him but must have dropped due to the sudden insanity of Oakpoint’s daily happenings. As he stood himself up to slide the pants up his wobbly body, he dropped back to the ground with a painful sounding thud, all the while this abnormal entity of Austin was pounding his fists unmercifully into the sides of my face.

“James! Stay there!” I screamed at him while raising my hands defensively then forcing them against Austin’s chest; with all the strength that I could muster I threw the boy backwards, causing his tiny frame to fly backwards and roll into a reverse head-over-heals until the trunk of a small oak tree caught the side of his rib cage. He fell against the ground and remained still, I looked towards James and than towards the street, than back at the ground where Austin was. Only James was still there.

“What the…” I sat up and crammed my palms to my eyes, pressing in forcefully to try and bring back the reality of what ever had just happened.

“Are you alright?” Asked James as he wobbled his way towards me.

“I… don’t know… Are you? …What the hell just happened?” I lowered my hands and scanned my surroundings once more, only James was present…

James dropped down next to me and cradled his arms around my shoulders while leaning his head inward, he paused a moment, breathing in to fill his lungs then exhaling gently, “What were you doing? You completely spazzed out there.” He looked up at my reddened face and tried to force a smile of comfort at me.

“I don’t know… I… shit, thought I saw you get hit by a truck or something… but Austin attacked me before I could get to you… I wasn’t even sure it was you, but you were right over there, near that tree… What the hell..” I burrowed my face into James chest while wrapping my arms around him, “Are.. Are you okay?” I asked him through the staggered trembles of my tired voice.

“I think so, a little dizzy and weirded out but I’ll be fine.” James kissed the top of my head and nuzzled his cheek into my hair, “You really scare me you know that?”

“What? I scare you?” I lifted my head slowly so that I could look into his eyes, “You’re the one that blasted a hole in my bathroom and took off into the woods… How did you even get to that place?”

“I don’t know.. I can’t remember much, just my entire body feeling all warm and tingly. Every time I opened my eyes they stung… Before I knew it, you were carrying me through the woods.” He stopped and smiled briefly, “We really make quite the dysfunctional couple, hehe.”

“It’s not funny! I want this crap to stop.” I pleaded with myself, “I can’t take this, we can’t even spend one day together without something incredibly fucked up happening!” James’ face dropped in expression and turned pale with grief.

“So… What are you saying?” He asked in a tone that was filled with hurt, “You don’t want to be with me anymore? We’re not worth all the trouble? Is that it?” His cheeks became red with anger, his eye twitched and his hands gripped into the sides of my arms.

“No!” I tried to plead with him, “I love you, I do… I just want to be normal. I want to wake up and go to sleep knowing that you’ll be alright when I’m not around… Fuck! Or even be safe when I am… And that guy at the Sanctuary… He was so messed… I love you James I do, I just… My heads messing with me too much, I can’t figure out what’s real or not anymore.”

James remained silent; instead of speaking he curled into me with his arms over my shoulders and pressed me into him as tight and warm as comfortably possible. I felt dampness against my shoulder which was instantly followed with involuntary sniffles; he rubbed his face into my shoulder and kissed the base of my neck gently. I dropped my face into his hair and took in his scent as best I could through the reciprocated gasping sniffles. I felt a warmth over take me, as my insides flooded with comfort and love. My heart fell into my stomach, feeling like it had broken out in a cold sweat it jumped and skipped. Everything that had happened and was happening, all this crap again and again; was it ever going to end, or even offer some real answers? Or was I doomed to repeat all of these questions of grief and dismay over and over again inside my head? I could only hope that there would be no more comforting moments like this due to the messed up lives we seemed to be cursed to live.

It was moments like this, which made me, want some degree of normality more than ever. I could barely remember my life before Oakpoint anymore, or before James. I couldn’t imagine living a day without him, nor could I fathom regular problems and activities. We couldn’t even go to town without something messed up happening to us. I felt lightened inside; my head drew suddenly clear unburdened thoughts, shared thoughts. I could hear James’ heart beating with a clashing rhythm to my own. I felt his lips against my neck as they travelled upwards to my cheek. The world was darkened yet clear, as if nothing else existed. My head had taken over; James’ figure had been taken over with the strange obscurity of wiry veins and pulsating streaks of electric looking bolts. They travelled across him and absorbed into me, with every feeling given to me by those waves, I felt myself drawing closer and closer to him, yet I remained still.

We were becoming one; a familiar feeling took us both over. I could see waves of color spiraling and mixing around us, the form of his perfect body fell slowly on top of me, his clothes were no longer in existence, nothing to cover him or that beautifully tanned skin which was comparable only to a fine silk, which he wore so well; He lowered himself downward, stretching outward he laid himself close against me. I felt free and confined all at once, as his kisses travelled across my upper body and concentrated against my chest. Steady warm hands caressed my stomach and side; wrapping my arms around him I allowed whatever was happening to run its course.

His breath fell hot against my skin, causing excitement to take me over. I travelled downward, along his side. Sliding the palms of my hands down his abdomen and circling the center of his body. I focused my gaze on him, his excitement obvious and inviting; dropping my lips against the tops of his thighs I carefully travelled to the upper side, until I was pressed in comfortably at the base of his standing lure of temptation. He cradled my head with both hands, running his fingers through my hair, while I took in a deep breathe, filling my lungs with the purest essence of what made James who he was. It was deeper than just a scent, more powerful than any mere touch could ever hope to accomplish.

Trickling my lips with subtle pinches up the warmth of his erection I circled the end of my nose over the very tip of his reddened head. My tongue fell impatient and took charge of my judgment, wrapping itself over and around the object below it, the slightly salty taste of his wondrous skin, the satin like orb of his plump ripe tip, I lowered myself until my nose was nuzzled between his legs and the soft light aroma of sweetened sweat travelled from his tightened pouch to my greedy lungs. I heard a sigh of pleasure escape him as I reversed my movement and once more found myself caressing the tip of his offerings. My tongue was thanked dearly with the first droplet of lubricating juices, I dipped myself downward once more, which was when I felt my own erection being wrapped and consumed by the heat of what could only have been James’ soft inviting lips and tongue. His breath spread downward, between my legs, I could feel its coolness against the center attraction of my spread out thighs; his hands rolled down the small of my back as they greedily grasped the bottoms of my lower cheeks, his fingers massaging themselves passionately around the center of my backside, shivers over took me and rapidly spread across my body.

I shuddered softly, twitching my shoulders as his hips began to slowly rock against my mouth. Mimicking James’ hold on myself, I pulled him firmly into me; his legs wrapped around the sides of my head, supporting my movements with his thighs. With every beat of his heart and every breath that he exhaled; I could feel his entirety become closer to me, as if he were melting right into my very soul. His steady tongue circled with need around the shaft of his attention, and his upper lip nibbled gently at the folds of skin which held my tightened oval supplies of creamy seed. His gentle humming tickled against my pelvis as I released a muffled moan of gratification into an uncontrollable groan of release. I spun and shivered, pulsed and twitched all at once. My fingers gripping desperately into his tender behind, as he pushed his hips in a needful rhythm against me. The sudden invasion of two of his fingers entered me, causing a harsher release to furrow down his throat, he circled his hips in sync with his fingers as a steady stream of liquid travelled down my own throat, eventually pooling over top of my tongue…

Birds chirped curiously above us, the brightness of day had suddenly returned as if the gods had forgotten to turn on the lights. The sound of giggling filled the air and I felt a cool wetness across my sweaty body. I gazed lustfully down at James, who still had his face buried snuggly against my neck and shoulder. His laughter took me over and soon caused me to join in. My pants were warm and sticky and I could feel James’ erection poking into my stomach as my own grazed against the outer side of his butt…

“Oh wow…” Giggled James, “I completely forgot about that… You should do that more often.” I looked down at him with confusion.

“Do what?” I asked, followed by giggled uncontrollably as a long line of drool escaped the corner of his shining lips.

“You know… That head thing.. I thought it was real at first! God, that’s so awesome! I even creamed in my pants… well, I guess they’re your pants, but still….” He stopped in mid chuckle and sloppily kissed my lips, the line of drool spread down my chin and along my neck,

“Awe Dude!” I chuckled, as I slid my hand down my chin and neck to wipe the wetness off of my self, “You’re hilarious… Wow… weird timing.”

“Weird? Nah, perfect.” Replied James as he scooted partially away from me so as to get a better view of my expression, “I think we needed that… don’t you? I mean, that’s what makes all this worth it.” His eyes shone brightly with the day, glimmering through perfection and right into me, as if glaring deep into my very soul.

“You know, you’re probably right.” I agreed with him, “I do feel a lot better now, but we really have to sit down and figure some of this crap out, I hate living like this.”

“ADRIAN!” Screamed the startling voice of mother, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE?” She screamed even louder as she stomped herself down the stairs of the upper deck.

“Mom? I uh…” What the hell was I gonna say? I mean, I was really counting on that bathroom thing to be a dream… just like half of everything else… God! It’s so hard to separate the two lately…

“James!” She yelled out, “Where have you been? Do you know what happened HERE? Adrian GET in the house! It’s not safe!”

Before we could muster up any form of word or thought, we were forced to our feet and flocked into the kitchen. We were sat down at the table which was surrounded and scattered with tools and boxes. My Dad entered the room, followed by several other men who were all wearing safety helmets and steel-toed boots. I turned my head to my Mom, who was pacing back and forth; I looked over at my Dad who looked of concern and dismay, the men in behind him looked stressed and fatigued… I felt James’ heavy glare blazing into me, the smell of grief and anxiety cursed itself upon my senses. How was I going to explain this one? I could only think clearly enough to say one thing, only knew to say one thing…

“I’m in shit aren’t I…”
