Hi guys -

You won't believe this, but according to a reliable source who has been in Sanya since Miss World started two weeks ago, this is what she told me:

1. Durinh the cocktail party last night, the girls were presented to a large group of businessmen (sponsors) and each table had 2 girls and 10 businessmen. The guys got drunk, took photos of the girls, and started making passes at some of them, including grabbing their butts. The chaperones were very upset and they attempted to report the incident to Julia Morley who was nowhere to be found. SOme of the girls are thinking of banding together and protest, but some fear that the protest might hurt their chances in advancing to the finals.

2. During the Beach Beauty contest, several candidates were bothered by the fact that the judges did not even pay any close attention to them on stage. The judges were either looking down, or lookng at another direction. Also, some of the judges took a lot of time before they could submit their scores.

3. A chaperone was told by one of the judges that the judges had already been instructd to select the winner of the Beach Beauty contest. This chaperone was horriefied, saying what's the point of competing if the winner has already been predetermined?!!!

4. Some of the girls missed the auditions for the Talent event because their stuff (musical equipments, costumes, etc.) are still stuck at the customs, so they couldn't take them in time for the auditions. And guess which popular candidate was picked to compete in the Talent event - Jamaica!

5. And speaking of Jamaica, she was also picked to be in the Fitness event, even though she was outdone by Grenada (who was more fit). Grenada did not make it and she was very upset. There were also several more fit girls who were not selected for this event.

6. And speaking of Jamaica yet again, she was also selected to compete in the Top Model event. This is a shocker to me since Jamaica does not look like a model and her lower body is shaped like an Orangina bottle.

6. Some girls and their directors (and chaperones) are wondering who is responsible for selecting the girls to compete in a particular event? Why are some of the most deserving girls are being excluded?

7. Some of the most prepared (and more beautiful girls) are feeling down and believe that the whole pageant is a joke and a travesty. They can't believe that they are forced to socialize with drunken, old men and that the organization refuses to acknowledge that ugly incidents like this happens!

I am not making up these reports as they were told to me by a friend (who is in Sanya) via online chat. I just wanna know what you guys think!

You said it right, Aunty Irene! MW is the worst pageant of all. I have so many things to say abt this damn pageant but i don't know where to start. I heard that past runners-up never even got their prizes. Talk about security of lack of it! People complain how security at Miss Universe is so tough, yet you never heard of MU girls getting sexually molested by dirty, old men or getting their lives endangered, like what happened in Nigeria when MW 2002 was held there! These are not rumours...what's been writen abt the dinner incident it true. I am dating one of the contestant and i spoke to my girl immediately after she got back to her room. She was in shocked and i was in disbelieved. My girl has no reason to lie abt it. She's not hard up abt winning the competition cuz the whole event has been fixed.
