probably not them, but check for red spider mites.. without their natural enemies, they would take the life from the leaves in a hurry..

lower light levels, no humidity, sudden change of temperatures could all be reasons for the leaves to whither and dry up too.. it may just be going to sleep for the winter.. if that's the case, don't over water.. that could rot the roots if there aren't any leaves to take it up..
