Sorry to disagree, but miracle grow is like putting your plant on steroids. As soon as you stop, your plant will wither away to nothing. Once your banana plant is established and growing, you can't over fertilize or water. Best to use a good rich compost, or even straight horse or cow manure if you have access to any. Slightly aged chicken manure is the best.
